120 day old Peyote seedlings_

Here are my seedlings I started sometime in June. They have been hardened off for about a month now, so no longer in a "green-house" environment. I usually keep them in indirect light, but they seem to be pretty hardy and now are more tolerant to stronger light. Everything seems to be normal, but I have noticed the seedlings shrivel up when I don't water for a while. Initially, I was worried they would die, but upon being watered they perked back up. Does everything look good here, RIU peeps ?

Aww so cute. So like 5-7 years to go!
Haha, yes ... unfortunately its a slow growing cactus. LoL - it will take 5-7 yrs for me to detoxify my body of all the prescription meds I've been on. The time line works out okay for me :-)

lol, yeah. One has to wonder how they even survive in the wild. Looks like a mild breeze would send them rolling on their way....haha
The root doesn't look like it would hold them firmly in the ground, but they are doing just fine. It's m 1-st time growing this mythical cactus and so far, so good. Watching them grow is an exercise in patience though, LoL

im no expert, but was led to believe they are Trichocereus pachanoi...
at this point in my cacti career, its just trippy cactus to me..lol...ill catch on..
any great soil/nute reccommendations? i had one question,,can they be under continual light? i have them pimping in my tent, guarding the ladies from harm...was leaving them in.there under continual light till i flower my plants, then i was going to keep an open window for them..unless 12-12 light wont hurt...any insight?

From my short experience and from what I've read, it seems our cacti friends do (happily) grow under HID or even CFL light. Back when I had my Bolivian Torch (T. Brigdesii) I just kept it on my balcony where it received direct/indirect light during the summer. I am sure putting them under 12/12 indoors won't hurt them. MH Lamps will likely facilitate mescaline production @ a higher rate then HPS lamps due to the increased blue/violet spectrum. When we get our 250w MH I will put my peyotes under it. I may "finish" the Lopophoras under such a spectrum in order to maximize alkaloid content. Peace :peace:
