1200w Soil ScroG 1st Indoor Grow

I went from dome to straight in soil to rockwool to rapid rooters to coco to coco soil mix to aerocloning lol. All of which had very low success rates but good enough to keep everything going. GOD DAMN cloning can be a pain in the ass. You can read 50 different how to manuals 100 x and still struggle with it, its so strange. Finally I have the feel down. I like to use coco and soil mix now with added perlite PH to 6.5. DynaGro KLN and a little organic flowering nutes for root growth.

My SSH stretch like a crazed effing maniac. To the point where I transplanted it during flower and wrapped the main stalk around the bucket twice. She grew like CRAZY, I just couldn't manage her in my small space (4 x 4 flower box). The bud development seemed airy and slightly off after about 5 weeks so I made the choice to pull it. I honestly think it was genetics. About to find out because I gave a vegging monster to friend of mine for his greenhouse. Last I knew about a month ago it was 14' tall and touching the ceiling lol. The stretch was just unreal, mine grew a couple inches per day under a 600. Shouldn't have a problem filling the screen if the same goes for you.

Well I guess we'll have to see about bud density. I'm hoping youre right about the stretch though, I have a ton of screen left for those to fill, especially considering it's day 13 of flower. I've been under the impression that stretch stops by end of week 3, and I'm so far it hasn't surprised me with its stretch. About to go check on them right now though (lights just turned on, best part of my day). They've been growing faster since feeding a couple days ago so lets see!!

Also, I've heard there are 2 common phenos of them. 1 is massive stretch, ike 13-14 week flowering time. Other is average or slightly above average stretch, 9-10 week flowering. I'm hoping for the second just because I dont want to have an almost empty flower cab because of 2 bastard children plants.

I didn't realize you were that far in but I know the stretch lasted longer with her. If I'm not mistaken its an 11-12 week strain so she'll do plenty of growing into flower. I swear dude mine was supercropped and LST'd down to under 8" and it was probably near 4' tall when I pulled that pig out of the box and the main stem was wrapped 2 x around the bucket. I've never seen anything like it lol.

So a decent little bit of growth but nothing shocking or overly impressive. This isn't me complaining, I'm excited as fuck to see this coming along, especially after the rough start I had :blsmoke:

Edit: Forgive the dirty ass cabinet, I'm getting the vacuum back from my buddy tomorrow so I can suck up all those dead ladybugs.

Anybody can learn to clone. Experience and trial and error are the keys to success. You just have to find what works for you. I am currently using a fog-ponics cloner and have 8 purp kush in the tote. I still always cut a couple extra so I can pick the best 6.

Storebought or homebuilt? I was looking at a diy fog cloner, seemed pretty interesting. The only thing stopping me from building a small cloner is climate control. I'm shaky about water temps being an additional factor in the success/failure.

I bought one already built from stealth hydroponics. Since the fogger works by sonic vibration there is no additional heat. I also added some bubbles into the cloner using a couple air stones. It was about $80.00 for the cloner unit and another $20.00 for the bubbles from Wally World. I think the cloner has about 18 sites. Instead of the neoprene collars I use the 2" STG inserts. I can transfer them directly into my Hempy cups.

Sorry for the lack of updates, busy as all hell around here. So after stupidly assuming that because I hadn't seen any mites in 6-7 days, they were completely gone, I found an entire colony under a couple leaves yesterday. Today was spent waging war on these little fuckers, I'm going into the 4th week of flower and I'm not trying to lose a crop to pests. So after a dousing of neem yesterday, I picked up some Azamax, Doktor Doom Spider Mite Knockout spray, and 2 other Pyrethrin foggers. I'm now rotating these treatments and reintroducing the no pest strip, after about 12-14 days of straight war on these bastards I'm going to put about another 500 ladybugs in there to finish any leftovers. Sound like a plan?

Until then, here's some pictures of the ladies tonight and my workspace :leaf:

Looks good, be careful what you use during flowering to control the mites. Any poison you release on the bud will stay on the bud. Best to go with natural treatment. Read the instructions carefully.

azamax and dd spider mite knockout say you can use up until day of harvest, guy at the hydro store said a couple days to be safe(which I planned). The bombs can be used until 3 weeks prior, I'm going to be bombing this week (5+ weeks prior). And I'm going to stop neem after this week. Thanks though! I prefer all natural too, those ladybugs just werent doin it.

Yep SMASH them with Azamax, follow the directions and i suggest a wetting agent like SM-90. Have to overlap treatments against mites (as you now know). The idea is to smash them 2 or 3 times and be done with them. Good luck, plants are looking bushy and beautiful.

Sorry for the lack of updates, been a little busy around here. I'll be starting a new thread soon (new grow setup in addition, couple new strains, all in good time :leaf: Wouldnt want to start a thread without some good material for it. Anyway, heres a couple pics of what's goin on in the scrog.

Sorry I don't have more/better pics. I took a bunch, not that many came out great (none of the SSH apparently), and I don't have time to go take more.

you should slap the shit out of your roomate for fuking with your operation lol. looks like they made a good recovers :leaf:

Must have taken a lot of love and even more work to whip those plants into shape. Much respect. I can't wait to see how your harvest turns out! I think I'm only going to grow one strain in my indoor setup. How much harder is it to grow multiple strains instead of just one? subbed

Sorry for not responding, I kind of let this journal fall by the wayside. It's been exciting around here grow-wise, I converted a bedroom and currently have some clones being rooted before being put into my hydro tent, and now have 9 plants in the scrog cab about 2 weeks from flower - platinum og, purple kush, super lemon haze. To answer your question, I believe it was a lot harder to learn on multiple strains, but I came out better for it. I haven't ever grown less than 3 strains so I can't say how much easier it would be, but it was a bitch to diagnose different problems at the same time as a newbie. So here's the closing of this journal. I'll be starting a new one shortly, as I now have multiple grows there should be more excitement/pictures throughout this one. And no retarded fuck-ups!! I yielded a total of 386g dry, which makes me a very happy guy after everything that happened.

Purple Kush was first plant done, right about 63 days. 1 plant yielded 54.8g. With a test being done after a 6 day dry and 10 day cure, I'm extremely happy with the flavor, smoothness, and stone of this bud. Potency wasn't anything amazing, I'm hoping another couple weeks of curing will fix that.

DSC01247.jpgDSC01245.jpgDSC01252.jpg

Super Silver Haze, being the last to finish, hasn't been smoked yet. These plants each yielded about 2oz. They've been in jars for about a week now and are smelling amazing, I'll be smoking some in a couple days and reporting probably in my new thread.

DSC01291.jpgDSC01287.jpgDSC01281.jpgDSC01293.jpg DSC01321.jpgDSC01320.jpg

Strawberry Cough; 2 runts from the start, the strain was somewhat finicky about everything and never really got very dense. I dried some in 4 days and put into jars for another 4 before starting to smoke this strain. As it's the highest quantity of any strain and the lowest quality, I'm choosing to smoke this until the other strains are completely ready. It tastes good although the flavor is very weak. The high is great but I have to smoke quite a bit to get there. We'll see how the healthier strawberry plants turned out, along with a proper cure.

DSC01300.jpgDSC01308.jpg

All in all, I'm extremely happy with the success of my first grow. A lot of lessons were learned, and I didn't suffer total crop loss!! So thank you to those who helped along the way and contributed to the thread. As I said, my next journal will hopefully be more active. Keep an eye out for it!!
