1250 watt led light grow

if you have 3k to spend on a light, get some 1K HPS and some ventilation in a good room and you have a better setup and can grow more, better and higher quality than one LED light

I thought LED is the future and HPS will become obsolete, care to elaborate?
The price doesn't surprise me and honestly it is not overpriced given the number of leds it has.

I've never used any stealth grow leds but I have used high output leds from another company and I love them. That light looks like a beast! 3k is alot but I bet youll have way less heat with that than the 1,000w hps someone suggested.

Hey friend, I am doing an LED grow now. I have a 500w and a 240w. I highly suggest you look into Blackstar lights. They are awesome. Check out my profile to see the journal, started recently. The light you want is around 3$ per watt of led. Blackstars are always 1$ per watt of LED, and the plants love their spectrum. If you got 2 of my 500w's, that would be 1,000$ for 1k light. Also, that light you have doesn't cover as large of a space as 2, maybe 3! blackstars. I'm not trying to sell it, it's such a suggestion from one grower to another.

well ive had experience with a blackstar model before but i dont think they can deliver the penetration im lookin for. Hps is a no-go for me because i dont really want to deal with all that air ventilation
the cost for this light is pretty bizarre but thats what you gotta pay for a top quality led light so i wasnt surprised, but im hoping after the first grow with this light i should make my money back. How much you think this light will be able to pull??

You should also know that LEDs have basically "infinite" lifetime and they dont lose light output as they age. So it's just a one time investment.
The question is are they better than HPS for growing dense buds, the heat, life span, power usage and size make LEDs optimal for indoor growing.

I would never spend 3,000 dollars on a LED light. Hell, that cost more than my whole grow room cost to setup

thats pretty much the cost for good led lights. ive seen some go up to 5000+, so im definitely not surprised on the price, it also has a 90 day return policy just enough to flower and see how it produces. if its shit it goes back if its good it stays

Then again I am someone who firmly believes LED's are only best as supplemental lighting, so it is hard to convince me. If your going to drop 3,000 dollars on that I will definitely subscribe to your thread, maybe you can prove me wrong :)

@smokebros hopefully i can change your views on the led being used for only supplemental light. maybe the cheap ones are good as a supplemental light but the big boys are real strong and produce top quality buds. hopefully i get the light soon and get something started up for you guys

Please do, I too am curious as to the effectiveness of LED. I am debating on weather or not to make the investment on my next grow.
