I seen these on Ebay today. Never seen them before and havent read anything about them. Just wondering what everyone thought about this. If everything you read is true then maybe they're great. :D

We have alot of 'off the grid' housing out here in the SW. Ran this idea thru my head for my 'Dream Garden'. If you already had a 'green homestead' adding a 12v grow shouldn't be that much extra.

Should be able to power it off a solar box? Like one we use on an electric fence maybe?

I was wondering about the spectrum also. I need to see if I can find more about it online.

I think it would take a bit more than that. I was thinking the amp draw might be much. I'll have to warm up the 'Ohm's Law' brain cell.
I worked awhile for a small windmall mfg. Renewable during the day and if your on the grid an 120/12v inverter at night. For some day when I have money to dream.

I would stay far far away from those, at least until there is better info. First of all the auction claims 48,000 lumens -- where's the proof? What type of lights are used? Also, just because it runs on 12v doesn't make it any less expensive to run compared to 240v, like the auction says. Also, they claim that a 600w HPS is 52,000 lumens, but my 400w HPS is 55,000. If you can run those off solar without using a lot of panels, I would be very very surprised.

I've actually been wanting a windmill setup myself. A guy right across the hill from me here has one and it alwaysseems like it's spinning very fast. It takes a half a basement full of cells to hold his power though from what I heard?

Yea I havent found any other info on those ebay lights. Could easily be a bunch of BS. I'll stick to the T5s and HIDs.
