12v Ozonator for Vehicles?

Hey not sure what forum to post this in, so toke 'n talk seems as good as any.
What do ya'll do for odor problems in your vehicles?
I just traded for a car that belonged to a smoker and I am too cheap to get it detailed professionally. Have any of you tried a 12v ozone device?

Are they bogus? Are there any other tips for getting that smokey smell out of vehicles. I intend to hit the car with the industrial vacuums and some Mothers™ this weekend, but the idea of preventing future smokey smells with a device like this interests me also.
