@Lights out, I run 730 for 5mins with all other lights (cxb 3.5k and v29, 4k.) Then 730nm for 10 more mins by itself.Do you use 5 mins of 730nm after lights out as well?

My observations as i said, i've read plenty over the last 20 years or so and there are so many variables involved that the only "data" i like to trust when it comes to my crop in bloom, is my own gained from experience... could be that my observations are flawed ...probably to an extent....and limited to the strains i've grown which are generally sat dom hybrids.
i Have persevered with an 11/13 running 3 grows of cheese candy, jack el frutero, strawberry blue, chronic thunder and i had a reduced yield on each one this sends my stoner brain a clearish message that phytochrome cryptochrome balance thing is best left as is
What 730nm LED set?
So what was the electric cost increase in those 7.5K of lights over 30 days in your area?
For me, adding 16K hrs a day was found to be not viable per the return benefit of that 2 hrs x 8 1K lights on the area I tested in..over a 30 day billing period...
Here, you pay at a higher rate as you raise K hrs to reach a new tier level. Not to mention the increases in pre and again at prime times use hrs....
Not saying it didn't work for me. Just not cost effective in my location vs. electrical billing rates vs. return benefit.
Nice 730 timing though. I did the same.
Bottom line, it works.
If I ran a closet or a tent or 2. I would be more inclined to do it.
Interesting to be sure.
In over 40 years. I have not seen that loss in yield when we changed to the 11/13 vs. a 12/12
too many strains to list over that period.
So it's an agree to disagree situation.....No disrespect given or taken.
Hey, (3500k-4000k) I was referring to to the Kelvin temp of the cob light.
I have a lil 2 x 4 setup that is 1/2 cxb diy and 1/2 old optic vero29. Ive strapped on a t5 UV and the 730 bar.
The 730 rig is a single bar, 8 diode jawn that I built back when the "far red thread" was popping.
likewise dr who, all respect to you my friend. ..i have tried a few different lighting patterns with different strains in the past and after having read the great feedback here i'm left scratching my head in wonder, i am a committed tinkerer which has it's drawbacks sometimes....
i think i had an issue with a knackered bulb that i wasn't aware of until recently , my yield went from 11/12 oz to 10oz then down to 7oz at which point i had eliminated all other causes and so replaced the whole lighting set up for a couple of 600w hids..... this may have been an issue when i tried the last time to run under a different schedule.
I've been doing 10/14 for a long time with no initiators.see, thats just the thing. It takes 2 hours WITHOUT sleep initiator, but with it, speeds the night process by 2 hours. So, really, if you think about it, without the "Forced Initiator" the plant only gets 10 hours of hormon gathering. 14 dark, 10 Light, 14 dark, 10 light is the way it should be for theroy purposes.
So now, the plant is 2 hours AHEAD, meaning 10 hours of sleep, 10 light, 10 sleep, 10 light, cutting 4 hours a day, or 120 hours a month, should knock off almost a week of flower time.??
I dont have flower initiator YET, but I know the value and benefits from it. SO I currently do 14 night, 10 Light, for flower. ( Im 3 days in ) They love it.
Please excuse my ignorance @CannaBruh but are the flowering initiators FR and EFR lamps ?I've been doing 10/14 for a long time with no initiators.
Your guess is as good as mine, I just shut the lights off. I think growmau5 was using mono LEDs?Please excuse my ignorance @CannaBruh but are the flowering initiators FR and EFR lamps ?
@Dr. Who re uvb
Ive been using the hortilux UVB t5 since last year when I broke my agromax. The hortilux works fine especially especially to smooth the transition to the much higher irradiance in the flower room. But I don't feel it has the UVB punch to effect the plants potency as noticeably as the Agromax.
I just ordered a replacement Agromax. I'll report back.
Why are old threads frowned upon? You said that perfect. I couldn’t find the right words without being respectful.Ask a question and people tell you to search the forums. Search the forum and post in an old thread and people complain about old threads.
Well handled bro.My observations as i said, i've read plenty over the last 20 years or so and there are so many variables involved that the only "data" i like to trust when it comes to my crop in bloom, is my own gained from experience... could be that my observations are flawed ...probably to an extent....and limited to the strains i've grown which are generally sat dom hybrids.

Has anybody tried using a 13 on 11 of light schedule 3 weeks into flowering? If so what are the pros and cons.
Ok so does the 11/13 lighting schedule work to force plants to bud more quickly? Those posts are too long! If anyone has any info please post comments. First time grower need all the info I can get!!!!
