hi all, im not a serious grower yet, im just messing around with slowgrow...lol just using 22-25 watt CFL's...... because i dont mind waiting and its operation cheap, well really im just messing about seeing if anything comes of it...... i have 1 in flowering now on 5 x warm light CFL and 1 x LED, the LED is 75% red 25% blue ...ish, but anyhow...... this is all about my new baby plant :)

It was a bagseed, and whether it is male or female does not bother me much , i wont be too annoyed if its male, because i only spent pennies on it!

Ok, so i planted a bagseed, straight into soil, didnt bother even getting a tray of moist toilet paper , or rockwool or anything, it did take almost a week to sprout, but it did sprout, and to my suprise this little plant seems to be really good looking, but that is only to my un trained eye......

I was just wondering if you lot could tell me if this looks good or bad or what not, considering, its only using 2 x 22w 6000k bright / cool CFL's , in a box i made up out of board, and just put white paper on the inside , and made a "hood" out of other junk

To me it looks really good, its not "lanky" it actually looks quite "grr" lol butch ish pretty chunky, but anyhow i hope these pics stay on tiny pic long enough because i forgot my photobucket details!

its not doing bad. just try to avoid stretching you have those straight tube cfls meaning your plants can touch it and not burn. so stick those lights like an inch or 2 away from your plants and nothing further. hope this helps.

seems to be growing nicely. Is that a cardboard box? watch it doesnt get wet and the ass falls out of it.

nope its "fibreboard :) and it has no floor, so i can raise ir or fold it up, or mess around with it :)

and from the pic with lights, its hard because the camera dimmed it down, itas a heck of a lot brighter than that :) and the bulbs ...the one dangling straight down is literally right by the plant ...so i do have to turn it every so often to stop it going just 1 way :) but thanks, i will move them a little closer and take notes....if a leaf burns, so be it :)

cheers :)

They will burn the shit out of the plants if they touch the CFLs. Even small ones will burn a plant if it touches.

However, it will not kill the plant, the burn will be localized to where the light touched.
