150 watt hps big enough?

Basically im trying a scrog in a small area where im able to fit 4-6 small 12-18 inch cannabis herb, now Is that enough power? I want to try 2-3 different strains out but don't want to wait cycle after cycle ... I believe 250 hps will make to much heat btw... Im going for cheap and effective .

150W HPS would be good for a 3sqft area. (50W/sqft)

Sounds good.... Im getting together my lights and accessories now... have docs f35 very trippy... Also have some kush bag seed but mehh... Im most likely ending up getting some Tahoe kush or holy grail kush to contrast the f35... Anyways thanks

If you can stretch your Budget go Digital 600w, Then you can Dial it down...OR up IF Grow Space gets bigger, OR can handle the Heat with Proper Vent/Exhaust..

I have a 150w HPS - not currently using it but I've used it a lot in the past. And I don't think I would do more than 2 plants under a 150w, especially if you are doing a SCROG. 4 to 6 plants in a small area can/will just turn into a mess in my own experience. How big of a space do you actually have, are you growing in soil, from seeds or clones?
