150 watt hps closet grow! NEED TIPS!!!!

s a bag seed of some blue cheese that I found in a bud about a month ago. She is about a month old, and has been under 18/6 light. she is also just starting to show sex. Luckily, she is a female! The buds that she came from were super good though from the dispensary so hopefully I can get the same luck with this seed. this is my first indoor grow, so I have a lot of questions... since I am using a 150 watt HPS how big can I get my plant? Currently I have her low stressed trained and she seems to have reacted great to it. Before I tied her down though,I topped her and now I'm not sure if I should let her two tops grow up with the other ones, or do something else? I really just want to get 2 ounces and I'll be happy haha

I have the light around 6 inches from the top of the plant, & I also have safety blanket around to reflect light, along with a fan blowing on her when the lights are on.

Do you plan to transplant? What soil you got her in? Nutes ur using? Type of water?

I wouldn't let it get more then 18 to 24 inches before u bud it...that's how I would handle it

Well, it's about 10 inches right now and I have her in a 6 gallon pot lol I just used my first round of growbig ph 6.8 RO water. Just not sure when I should flip because I want dense nugs, but I dont want the plant so big that the buds will stretch for the lack of light... I need to find a time to flip. Right now the tops are all more then 4 inches above the main stalk.

you can flower anytime now that she is showing sex, some plants can double in height during stretch in flowering.
with a 150 you want to keep em short and bushy...so anytime is good.

Is your ballast still in the reflector? I re-wired my 150w so the ballast was outside of my veg chamber. Cooled things off quite a bit. Also added 4x23wcfls on the side. This is only used for vegging, seedlings, and cloning. I'm not too sure how powerful it will be for flowering, but sounds like your going to find out. Good luck and have fun

imo a week more of veg then flower...and 2 oz is realistic ...thats what i average with my 150w

She has about 15 tops so hopfully thatll get me two ounces,! and yup the ballast is outside the light fixture I have the fan blowing directly over the top of the plant where the light hits it so its like room temp where the light hits. She is really bushy though. Should I trim her or anything like that? I was thinking about flipping around the 10th of November... do you think if I get each one of her tops to around 10 inches then flip Ill Pull a good amount of bud? I'm just new to growing inside sorry for all the questions haha. I know how to grow weed, just new to the indoor stuff

^^^i wouldn't do any trimming.... but the rest sounds about right

i really just want to get dense sticky nugs... My last grow was outside and resulted in very airy nugs:/ just don't wanna flower to late to the point where my plants are gonna be lacking light they need... You know what I mean?

yah i know ..that why i use a few cfl's for side light... if they get to tall for the 150 w to penetrate a 2' plant lol

I have a 125 watt cfl but it's one you'd hang horizontally over the plant and not vertically... I'd love to hang it, but the hps rig is in the way haha. And I heard that fluorescents have to be really close too. So basically the CFL would be in the way of the hps light I think

Lol I would love to get a mini plant with a cutting! Can I do it naturally anyway? Or do I have ever to buy rooting stuff? It would be a clone right? Lol I would put the cutting in a gallon container and then flower.
