150w HPS/MH Soil Scrog (Need Advise)

Hello ya'll I am wondering what everybody thinks about my idea for a grow closet.
I will have a 150 watt hps feeding a 1.5x1.5 scrog single plant. Using foxfarm ocean soil, floramicro and florabloom for my nutes.
I have a couple of questions and I figured this is the right place to go to. What ppm should I feed during bloom and how far to veg out the scrog before flip?

All and any advise is appreciated!

Personally I don't worry about PPMs in soil. I go by manufacturers directions and usually do 1/2 the recommended dose.

Not a SCROG guy but I believe you veg til the branches are 3-4 inches above trellis then start tucking away. Others can help you with that though.

$14bill, Thefarmer12 nailed it on the head with the amazon link.Farmer what nutrients do you recommend or are all of them about the same as long as the NPK is similar?
Also you can use MH with a hps ballast it just removes 10-15% life span.

10-15% of the lifespan of the bulb you mean or the ballast? I have a digital ballast that does both that was given to me but I don't know a whole lot about indoor growing gear I've been more of a green house guy with supplemental light mh and t5 mostly

Sorry i wasn't more clear last post I meant it will take away from the bulbs life. If you got a hps/mh ballast your all in the clear but the 150w all in one light are hps only. The igniter will keep on trying to start a hps bulb so it might actually remove some of the ballast life but I wouldn't say much MAYBE at most 5%, that and this is what kills the mh quicker, also the ballast puts out the wrong power frequency it will cause it to work just slightly harder making the bulb last 10-15% less.

Are you growing from seed or clone ? , i ask because ocean forest is a pretty hot soil to begin with so it would roast your seelings you might consider starting in a much cooler soil, Potters gold ect. As far as the idea goes i look forward to watching them grow :bigjoint:

I have 4 of those lights when I started. I use 1000w aircooled with LED now. so. Yes. Its a good idea. Youll yield. Whatever you use.

I smoke a few lbs a year. I don't know about you. Depends is that enough? Your looking at 1gpw. 150's are not the most efficient but they are strong little lights. Very small area though. And alot of heat in one spot about 2 inches wide. Should be cool. Start a log, I'm subscribed :) bongsmilie

Note - I use them alot of the time for autos etc. Projects. Anything. Thhhhheeeiiirrrr grrreattt........:|

Thanks for the heads up, from seed I'm not use to growing with soil either, I will start a log once I start which will be sadly in 2 months once my house gets ready.
