Your cool tube is the poop. What did you make it out of?
I bought an econolight for $32 shipped..Pyrex bake a round for $20(ebay), and power cords $10 Home depot. Mad plants growing under a DIY cooltube...priceless..sorry I couldnt help myself..

This dude 7th1der has a wonderful walkthrough on the construction of it. I tweaked it a lil to my liking..But nonetheless it's a phenomenal instruction.

day 17 flowering, already culled one male (showed at about day 13) and first pistils on mature female appeared. have two others waiting for sex (they weren't mature when i started flowering so they will probably show later.) o yeah and i have a papaver somniferum seedling vegging in there ;)

don't think it's gonna be a big yield tbh, too many issues during veg.

running 150w hps and 2x42w 2700k cfl's

will add pics later... doing some modifications ATM.

Hey guys, thought id join in. Cfls is a pretty neat thing to be growing with, but cant wait to save enough for a 400w HPS. Heres my 1 little girl I have in my closet. Surrounded by 2x 42w soft white, 2x 26w daylight, and 1 40w 3way soft white. Its a small plant, but I saved it from near death conditions when it was outside. Its bagseed btw, and im seeing pink pistils

here's the pics of my plants... currently growing under 150w hps and 2x42w CFL

the first is mature female bagseed from some brickweed with first signs of buds, how does she look for 19 days flowering? she got wicked stretched under cfl's and would grow into lights and burn had to remove a lot of growth and top pretty aggressively... so she's kinda skimpy but i'm not too worried about yield as long as i get quality bud. she's 20 inches tall.

the 2nd pic is sour diesel bagseed veg'd for maybe a week then put into 12/12, no sign of sex yet but it is MUCH less stretched since being under the hps. approx. 8 in tall.

the 3rd pic is bagseed like the first pic and it's been under 12/12 for 19 days straight from seed. it's about 3.5 in tall.

the 4th pic is papaver somniferum veggin under 12/12 ;) just for fun. (papaver somniferum veg's with 12/12, flowers under 18/6 just fyi) maybe 2 mm tall haha, these things are TINY.

i have removed 2 males and one quality plant that was the same age as the sour diesel due to some kind of beetle that was just eating the shit out of it, i saw the little fucker, long skinny black beetle, livin in the soil. literally tore it to shreds.

only concern about growing environment is temp, it's usually 84-86 with the cold weather, but i live in a subtropical climate so we'll randomly have 80+ degree days in the middle of winter and on those days temp will get close to 90.

Hey guys, i started a couple bag seeds from 12/12 w/ a 150w hps, and 2 26w cfls, 1's a gimp plant, came out pretty weak, but the 2nd is a strong lady mostly sativa, started flowering early @ about 3 1/2 weeks @ 6in. tall

started w/blackgold potting soil, just started using miracle grow and its working pretty nicely

its been about a week since she started flowering and has grown to almost 10in.

sorry i dont own a camera, but will try to get a pic or 2 up

wow, i just found this thread.. turns out i'm on track to harvest at the same time - I'm on week 4 of flowering now. I've got a micro scrog goin on with a 150hps. Check it out in my journal for more pics! I'll keep an eye out on this thread, count me in for a winter harvest (estimating mid Dec)
