15X18 open space, how to best utilize it! Please help!

I have a 15X18 open space. Ceilings are just a bit over 7 ft.

I have debated getting 3 or 4 4X8 tents in there and just running each as their own area from start to finish for the plants (3 tents all spaced out about 4 weeks apart)

Anyway... I am really starting to think that is almost a waste of money with those tents (or am I wrong???)

I want to run CO2, air cooled lights and the whole 9 yards...

Will tents be best? Or am I better off dividing the room into 3 areas (general work area with the sink, storage etc), Veg room and Flower room???? If you think I should divide it how would you break it up yourself?

I already have a ventilation line run up through the roof and could easily cut a whole through the wall if I wanted to bring in fresh air. The floor is cement, 1 wall is completely underground and the other 3 are low ground outside walls.

what about a 10x10x 7, with 6 1000w hps. then a 4x8 mother and veg tent with a 400 and a 600. this is basically what im doing just with a smaller flowering tent. then you dont have to have 3 or 4 co2 setups.

you could probably do two 4x8 and have one for breeding purposes

I don't know about haveing a breeding room anywhere by a flowering room

its in a tent. as long as you wash down and dont use the same clothes you wore when in the breeding room to go into the flowering. but you would only pollinate with harvested pollen form select males. and always go in there last. when making rounds and all.

Just seems to me that it is a risk even if it's low that pollen will get to the wrong plants. Pollen is for sure tricky. Everyone I know that breeds they have the males miles away from there flowers tell it's time to breed then you take the lucky lady to the males home

thats why you harvest you males' pollen then kill em.

I have NO desire to get into breeding in this area.

I have a friend who does all of that in his set up as he is a total science
junkie!

Are tents really best? Or am I better off building walls or even just hanging thick blackout canvas made for growing to
divide the rooms?

Again any males will be pulled ASAP I have NO desire to get into breeding or seeds.

is this a legal grow? tents are just easier to control climate and light wise IMO. perfect drkness.

i would but one 4x8 tent to use for mothers and veg. then leave the rest of the room open for full out right flowering, I'd flower in 2 stages depending on strain with 10-15 plants in each stage. take clones off your 4 mothers then veg in the tent for 2 weeks or so and have a perpetual harvest where you can easily pull 3+ every month. lighting I'd go with 4 1000's for flower and 2 400's in the tent or maybe a couple of the 8 bulb t5's. I wish my room was twice as big now I run half of this exact setup with outstanding results from a 5x9 room and veg closet 2x4

Well building a room will be cheaper for sure then buying a few tents, and building you can put things where you want as a tent comes with the intakes and exhuast already in place. Tents are easy and can be placed in one area and if you find a better place where they can do better it's easy to move store and reuse. I love my tents but I alsolove a good build as well. It's really up to you in the end hope thathelps alittle

Yes it does help, I guess I just really am kinda lost on
how to best divide that area.... What size rooms or what size tents Id want
to best fit that area... I can get 4X4, 5X5, 4X8, 5X10, 8X8, or 9.5X9.5 if I was
to go with tents....

I know Id do 1 Room for Flowering, 1 Room for Mommas(just a couple), vegge and clones. Then
Id like open space for my sink and supplies.

I am going soil for now so will be using 7 gallon pots.

As I said this is a legal grow and I am capable of growing up to 72 plants (cut clones even count as plants) but regardless I do
not want to grow that many (that is a LOT of work) and I do not have the space to do a proper 72 plant grown anyway so that is fine with me.

See its tough as I just dont know what size tents or rooms would best utilize my space for 3 areas....

1) Work area, sink, supplies/tools and a table for simple jobs

2) Flowering room or tent

3) Veg room or tent which I would likely just handle a couple mommas in and tiny corner of it for the clones.

Can anyone suggest what would be the most effective use of the space? I was thinking of putting 4 4X8 tents in there and just keeping
each its own self contained room from start to flower but that wont allow me any space to work and 4 tents are $2800... IF it is worth it
I will spend it without a doubt! But if I can do better or get better results another way I am game.

ok an 8x8 and a 4x8. that will leave you with a 7x18 work areacould do another 4x8 and have a 7x10 work area

I am going to start with a 4X8 and a 8X8.

As I get more mothers selected I will get another 4X4 in there just for them.
