so i got a 1000 watt metal halide and its pretty fucking hot during the summer. im finding every way possible to cool it down so....
i was wondering if ill run into any problems if i set the timer to 16 hours on and 8 hours off.
all that i could think of is that it'd slowly go into flower.
should i try and see what happens? if flowers form, ill just go back to 18 hours on-6 off.
but has anyone tried this and nothing happened?

as long as its not 13-14, which is too similar to flowering and may confuse the plant. It'll grow a TINY BIT slower since its getting 2-8hrs less light than possible (some people 24hr for veg).
