18/6 light question

clones053.jpgthese are my clones. 3 different strains.. real girl scouts, purple alien and lavender. my question is if it's possible to have the plants outside for 10hrs of sunlight then bring them in for the remainder of the 8hrs under a lamp? will this mess anything up? my damn tent is on back order so dont really have room in the garage for them to be left under the light for 18hr straight seeing how we use the garage all the time..any suggestions?

im in so cal. usually it's not that cold here {even in winter} but it has been pretty cold lately. right now it's 55 deg outside.. plants are in the garage at the moment. what's considered too cold for MJ or clones? they are well rooted {don't know if that's makes a difference}
 
Usually under 45 is 'too cold', that's when you start seeing the growth slowing, and below 40 for extended periods can sometimes give you a P lockout (I got it a couple months ago).
Personally, I try not to let mine get below 60, but sometimes when I forget, they do get a couple hrs in the high 50's, and they're doing fine.

thanks man. appreciate it.damn tent is on back order from amazon think im gonna try to cancel it and look for one on craigslist or something
 
ok so i just bought the tent above. the 36x36x78. can anyone tell me how many watts would be perfect for that size tent? all i have is a t5 4tube for vegging.any help would be appreciated.
 
Sorry, I can't be of help with HPS's and MH's, but that t5 should be ok for a couple weeks, so don't panic, just hang out and wait for somebody to come help.
 
The 600 with a cool tube would be my choice, it is the most efficient hps considering lumen value. Love the tent I am an ebayer myself so that is where I purchase all of my equipment, pay alittle more than whole sale but you can really determine a sellers credibility. I love led technology but it is just a little early in development for my taste but the led craze has drove hps lights down in price. Please let me know if this helps.

helps quite a bit.now all i need is to order the fan and all the stuff i need buti can get that from the hydro store i go to. just that that hydro wanted a ridiculous prize for a 2x4 tent. thanks

I bought a tent off ebay 10x5x7 it was 240 w/shipping and shipped from cali in 3 days. killer deal compared to the grow shops not to knock them still needed in a pinch.
 
zack66 has a GREAT point! Good call man. The last thing you want is to bring in a pest from outside and have it ruin your indoor grow environment.
