1k watt MH or 600 watt HPS

I am in a pickle and I need some advice on what to choose.

I have been growing 4 plants right now. They have been under a 600W HPS in a cooltube reflector for 1 month under 18/6 light cycle. I have just been given a 1k watt MH with reflector. I am going to be flowering within the next week or two so I don't know what I should do.

Option 1: Take the 1k Watt MH and put it in the cooltube and flower it out with the 1k watt MH. I will not be able to use both lights as my box will get way to hot. The temps with the 600W alone are perfect. I have not tested the temps with the 1k watt. I am assuming if I put the 1k watt in the cooltube, the temps will be stable still. Since I only have 1 cooltube I cannot have both lights in there. It is 1 or the other.

Option 2: Keep them under the 600W HPS and flower them out using only that and set aside the 1k watt MH until I construct a new room/area to put the 1k watt to use.

So my question is: Is this 1k Watt MH going to give me better results (yield and potency) than a 600W HPS? I know the MH is blue spectrum for veg and HPS is red/orange for flower so I am not sure which will give me better results. Should I just leave them under teh 600W or flower them under the MH?

Also I am going to be doing a scrog. My are is 4x4x5. My scrog is going to be about 2 ft give or take a few inches and the scrog to be 4 ft long by 4 ft wide.

wait till next time to use your mh just finish the last week or so with hps. Are you growing for your head or is it commercial because if its just for you a 1k mh seems like much when you can vegg with t5 or cfls plenty, maybe think about selling for big $$ if its complete with ballast and eryting

I wasn't going to be selling this is all for personal use. I know the 1k watt is a lot for personal use but the way I see it is the more the better.

As far as being 1 week from being finished, I am about 1 week from flowering. I still have to flower them out. They have been in Veg for 1 month.

So I guess I am still looking for more advice as to what to use for the fowering phase. I want good quality bud and I know my 600W will give me good quality bud and I know it will give me plenty for personal use. My question is if I use the 1k watt instead of my 600W its most likely going to give me more bud, but is the quality going to be better or worst. Is my 1k watt going to give me A LOT more than my 600 or should I just stick this harvest out and wait to use my 1k watt MH?

bro i think he was talking about selling the light... lol

600w of HPS is plenty for 4 plants I don't think you would see any improvment with the MH since HPS has a better light spectrum for flowering than MH does. If I were you I wouldn't even use the 1000w light unless you are growing 10 or more plants out, just get one of the dual arc bulbs for the HPS and use it all the time.
