DAY 21

Hey RIU-

So here's my weekly update for this week. Plants are doing very well. Master Kush is looking insane, TONS of internode and growing rapidly! The Aurora is growing some huge fan leaves, not much vertical growth as of now, the leaves are just stacking on top of each other. As for the Snow White, this little runt is pulling through. I just transplanted her to a 2 gallon grow bag so she should be all good from here.
Both mangos are looking good as well, no problems from them yet.

So I flushed all 3 of them this morning with plenty of rain water till runoff. I fed them 3 days ago with Jack's and they all responded well. I will continue with 1/4 strength for another week then bump it up a notch.

Finally, I plan to top both the MK and AI very soon, probably tomorrow. Thats all for now, enjoy the pics!

First 4 is the MK, next 2 is AI, next 2 is SW, then the mango.

i love this tight node spacing on these high end strains!! Does your AI have purple stems too? Mine has some and I have read they may be defecient in the P & K so I have added Espoma Flower Tone 3-5-7. This also had several of the remaining 15 nutes plants need in in varying percentages. funny thing with my purple stemmed plant is it is the fastest growing and of course biggest. I love the grow bag idea, did you just come up with that, or do they actually sell "grow bags" at growing shops? you have a great grow going on. I need to setup a journal so I can share my grow with everyone.

yah man me too, the tight nodes are just ridiculous! As for the AI, the stems are starting to turn purple as well, I heard this is common for indica dominant strains. I don't think that im lacking any deficiencies as of yet, as far as i can tell.

I picked up the grow bags on ebay, they were like $1.25 shipped for (2)3 gallon bags. I cut about 1/3 of it off so im left with about a 2 gallon bag. So far its been working out great, they have drainage holes on the bottom and the sides as well. You should def get a grow journal going man!

So after updating the pics last night, I went ahead and topped both the MK and AI before the lights went out. Man are these plants resilient! Woke up this morning and they all looked perked up, didn't seem to phase them at all. I counted 12 possible shoots for the MK. Not so much internode for the AI, just bushy.

First 2 is the MK, then the AI.

Hey jpnspec, i setup a grow journal in my sig. you should come over and look at the purple stems on mine we talked about yesterday. they're growing fine, and it is on 2 different strains of plant. it seemed to have fade away since I gave them the extra P & K.

DAY 24

My Aurora Indica is not looking good. All of the leaves are starting to droop down and noticed a slight burn on one of the leaves. This burn is not on the tip of the leaf but on the back. The stems are also starting to turn darker purple. In fact, all 3 of my plants have some purplish color on the top part of the fan leaves however the AI is the worst. Im still not sure if its a P/K deficiency as Jack's has a 20-20-20 NPK ratio. I fed them all again yesterday thinking maybe i've been too conservative on the nutes? Im using 1/4 strength per gallon and breaking that into 500ML bottle and feeding them with that....

my camera is out of battery so I can't take any pics right now. As soon as it charges, I will upload them on here.

[QUOTE="SICC";3768305]hmm thats weird, i would try lookin thru here

Hey Sicc,

gracias for the link. Im reading through this and it's funny, almost all of the solution is to use Jack's all purpose! I wasn't really concerned with the purple stems (thinking it was common for indica dominant strains) but the drooping or cupping of the leaves is not good. Im actually now thinking if I've overwatered her. I just fed her yesterday so Im just gonna wait for a couple days to see how she does.

Heres some close up pics of the problem. Now that im looking at it, im not even sure if this is a nute burn or maybe some sort of bug bite?? Took some random pics showing the darkening stems as well. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! I was planning to switch over to 12/12 this weekend but now im not sure if I should wait.

I know that a lot of folks falsely proclaim ph problems but yours looks like it could be, the spots, yellow vien and narly curling are classic signs of a ph problem, I agree that they look overwatered also but ph lockouts present similarly as well so hard to say

Do you test ph of your water? do you check the run off?

Hey Riddle,

thanks for coming by! I can definitely use your expertise here. Ok so I checked the PH of my water w/ nutes when I first mixed the two and it's at around 6.5. With that said, I don't use the entire 1 gallon, I break it down into 500 ml bottle and feed them with that. Now the remaining nutes, I just left it there for a couple of days and fed them with it again w/o checking the PH (im thinking this may be the problem). Also, I have never checked the PH of the run off so this is something I will start to do. Im thinking of waiting another couple of days with her then maybe flush her with rain water and H202? Or do you recommend simply using PH water?

At this point I would not add H202, and be aware that the ph of rain is low so be sure and check it before adding anything, nutes generally lower ph as well and so does molasses.

I would flush with 5.8 to 6.2 water (can be rain) (no nutes or anything) check runoff ph after each gallon of water you run through, you should see it come up, if runoff is lower you have a soil ph problem
