Hey guys -
I started these about 1 month ago and did not think they would take (reson why the one is next to edge of the pot). I've given it about 2 diluted doses of Alaska Fish Fert and it was kept indoor (under 2 100 watt fluor's and 1 philips grow light @ 150 watts) and outdoors on my porch (limited sun while i am @ work from 8am-6pm). It is in a makeshift box (cardboard/foil/therm/fan/3 hanging light fixtures) w/ a consistent internal temp of 80-84 degrees. I thought the fluor's were giving off a better feel and have used them exclusively for last week and a 1/2. I recently burned out one of the fluor bulbs and made a quick fix purchase of 2 compact fluor bulbs. It says the compact fluor's are equal to 100 watt's each, but Im not sure if they are helping or hurting. Some of the leaves have started turning inward and drooping, while a few others have little brown/orange specs.
Given that it is my first attempt, I really just wanted to get a feel for it before moving (spending $$$) to the next level. My next move would be transplanting it into a 3 gallon bucket of worm castings and perlite and see where it goes from there. If they start smiling again, I will most likely move them to a more suitable home.
Let me know what you guys think and I appreciate any advice, tips and/or "wtf were you thinking's"
