1st and 7th generation what? strains? well first of all the strain or generation does not effect if it has seeds or not at all, that is entirely dependent on how its grown (in-fact the greater its potential to produce the greater its potential to produce large juicy buds is also). as far as which generation is better, i suppose, is totally up to the individual. everyone has different tastes and likes, tho generally you can assume they are attempting to make a better product each generation later by taking only the best phenotypes and breading them to increase growth, potency, yield, resistance, ect.
if your talking about LED lighting then 7th gen for sure, first gen was trash, the latest and greatest will most likely be far better and produce much faster growth and quality.
