1st grow advise needed!!

I am a 1st time grower and have gotten all of my information for this grow from this site. I have been kind of lurking in the shadows absorbing all of the information I could to prepare for this grow and have reached a point where I need some advise from some more experienced growers. I have 2 plants
in a small closet scrog. (2.5' x 3.5') I vegged them for 8 weeks and they have been in 12/12 for about 2.5 weeks.

I used 8 42w CFL's 6 - 6500k & 2 -2700k for veg
and 16 42w CFL's 12 - 2700k & 4 -6500k for flower (is that overkill?)

FoxFarm soil and Nutes with 5 gallon cloth "Smart Bags".

My question is whether the plants appear too bushy and whether thinning of some of the leaves would help to provide the maximum yield from this micro grow? There appears to be a lot of bud sites on both plants and I am concerned that I may end up starving them of nutes while trying to keep all of the large leaves alive but I am also afraid of over doing it.

Thanks in advance for any expert help anyone can provide.

I hope you turn this into a journal Andy. Welcome to RIU. I am not an expert on micro grows but I would suggest not taking any healthy leaves off. If you think they are blocking too much light you can tie or pin them back. Your yield will not improve by removing them IMO. Once you are about a week from harvest you canstart pruning them off. Overall your plants look healthy, Good luck!
