1st Grow - Cali Hash Plant

Hey everyone. Quick weekly update on my 1st grow!
Shes coming along nicely. I stopped feeding her. Shes looking like shes almost ready so for now on im going to be using pH water and try to flush some of those remaining nutes out.
The leaves are still nice and green. No problems with those so far. Im sure once the plant starts eating up the rest of her stored food those leaves will start to change color. But as you can see, theyre still nice and green.
The top part is coming along nicely. Nice and fat. The bottoms though --- I might have to harvest half at one time, and the bottom half at another time. Im not sure yet, but im just not that happy w/ the bottom. I know if i would of chopped the bottom all the growth would go to the top but -- its my 1st grow ppl
I tried to take some trich shots, but its very hard with the type of camera i have (my gf's powershot ). Its pretty hard trying to line it up also with that radio shack microscope. But i did my best.
Also hired my cat to keep the bugs out. Seemed to be working, havent seen any bugs or critters in a long long time.
But i just discovered hes been sleeping on the job (bottom pic). I dont know if i need to write him up or not.

*Small Update/Log*

Day 59 Flowering:
I just checked out the trichs. Looks like they are coming along nicely. I only checked the bottom part/buds to see how they are doing. The top part looks pretty good so i didnt check that. By the looks of it though it looks like it might be another 7-14 days before its time to chop.
man its so hard not to touch that plant. I just want to smoke it already!

Update: Flower, day 62
Well i wanted get a small test smoke done to see how shes doing. So i cut off a *little* bit of bud to smoke to see how it was.
Let me tell you,,,,,,,,, it was gooooood
BUT its not done. hehehe

I think on the 20th might be chopping day, but im still keeping my eye on those trichs!!!
Here are some pictures of my test. Quick dried, nice and green, kinda trichy Once i got it all cleaned up and packed in I sparked it up and it was fantastic! Cant wait for the dry & cure!

T-minus 1 week before chop down. Instead of watering with tap+pH water, im watering with bottle water from the store.

I have a question about the process after I chop her down......
From reading about curing and drying, im supposed to chop her down, trim the stems and leaves from the buds (save if i want to make hash, discard if not), hang upside down in a dark place with temps under 80` for about 2-3 days, trim the buds of the stems & then place them in a jar (do not pack full). Let sit in jar's for 1 day, open/burp the jars for 1 day, and keep doing that process for 2 weeks?
i cant seem to find a good guide on how to dry & cure. The stickie one on here kind of confuses me a lill' =\

Day 69 --- 1 day before Harvest (Pics)

Well everyone, its been a fun 1st grow. Ive had a lot of help so I would like to say thanks to the people that helped, and the people that are subbed into this thread and have replied. Thanks again!
Im going to be taking pics of my drying process so this thread/journal isnt completely done yet. But when im done i'll be posting my final setup, as well as how i started off. Also pics from day 1 to day 70, to chop, to dry, to smoke.

Here are some pre-final pictures of her before i cut. (I'll take pics the second before I cut, and the seconds after)
Right now shes going thru her 48/hr darkness. I had to move my other plant out of the room as shes going on 12/12 right now so I didnt want to disturb my darkness.
Anyways, thanks again! Hope to see you again in the drying/curing process!!
[PS. The rest of the pics wont be sideways... i kept them that way because i didnt want to ruin the quality after you rotate the pic. But the rest of my pics will be normal]

trim the buds up before you hang 'em up or at least before they dry completely. the leaves will shrink around the buds when they dry making em harder to trim.

Nice. Thanks man, they are hanging up at the moment.. I snagged a box from work, also some string and made a make shift 2 tier drying line.
The humidity is kind of bothering me though... Right now its at 59% humidity and 80 degrees where im drying. I just cant seem to find a normal regulated place in my APT to dry these ladies =(

Well I just chopped here, trimmed her, and now shes hanging. So without further adu, heres the Final for my Dinafem California Hash Plant!!

SEED: Dinafem Cali Hash Plant (Free bean)
TIME: Seed/Harvest - Planted 03.15.11, Harvested 07.25.11. TOTAL: 4+ Months.
SPECS: Soil, Roots Organic. Ferts, FF Trio. Water, pH ~6.0-6.5, Tap, Glacier & Great Value (Walmart).
LIGHTS: CFL; VEG: 4 42 watt Soft White, 4 42 watt Daylight.
LIGHTS: CFL; FLOWER: 3 100 watt Soft White, 1 42 watt Soft White, 2 100 watt Daylight

[I dont have a scale so I cant give you a final weight. Sorry )

@Trichy - Totally! You have no idea! I never really had interest in anything like this before, but growing this plant taught me a lot no doubt! Plus, not only was *I* able to grow my own plant..... the fact that *I* grew it, *I* was the only who fed it and watered it, etc... It feels really good. I have to say I had a real great time growing this plant. And my gf thought i couldnt do it either. haha

Great Job I will rep you when my 24 hours is up lol, it says I have given too much out hahaha!

Thanks!!! She seems to be drying really well.. Stems are still bending so its not quite done yet. Im going to test smoke a little bit in 3 days... Probably wont roll a joint, maybe take a couple snaps instead and see what color the ash burns to.
Even tho the nugs are losing some weight, looks like they havent been losing too much weight so I think I did this process correct. WOO!

Do you really think the color of the ash indicates a proper flush? I find it hard to believe, but am curious on anyone's thoughts nonetheless

in all honesty, no. i see a lot of people say 'test to see if the ash burns white' but i still go back to personal taste. i think all smoke will turn white.... eventually. lol.
i also have questions about flushing weather it'll take out everything and what not.... I want to say im a flushing type of person but i hate putting my plant thru all that stress. =\ not only that ive seen so many ways to flush i dont even know whats correct anymore, or even if its necessary.

Man I guess you will have a clean thread to go back since no comments earlier. But awesome grow wouldve been following if known. Just popped a Cali hash plant seed under t5's then heading to 1000wmh later. I will check out your other grows.
