Change that CFL set up PLEASE.. that power strip should be horizontal..
and also,
Your plants need a lot more light than that.. I mean it's the seedling stage right now so it might not matter that much, but later in the process you'll need much more.

Also, what soil are you using.. did you get that from the forest lol I hope you baked them before using it..

Your seedlings need good lighting at the beginning stages of growth.. The two cotyledons (first pair of leaves) receive the initial light for photosynthesis which greatly affect the primary stages of growth.. change your setup please

:leaf:
Thanks for your advice, the soil is miracle grow moisture control (I know bad choice)..the lights are 3 5500k 23W CFL - I will move them closer and change to horizontal thank you so much..I am adding 5 more bulbs very soon including some flowering ones

Alright well I just gave them their first actual watering..filled the containers till they dripped..moved my lights so they are horizontal and much closer to the plants.. I can also adjust the lights via a string now from the outside even, also I have created a large vent above the lights , the fan is blowing out this from the other side of the container..I also just got rid of 2 plants and it looks like I might get rid of one more, I actually inspected them really good and they are just dead leaves laying ontop of the soil seed and all really should of done a better job planting them in the first place..going with soiless mix for seedlings next time or maybe jiffy cubes..

Lessons learned today:

1)Be more careful when I plant and clean the soil better for seedlings ...I should of used soiless mix to start anyway...just plain be more careful when dealing with seedlings period

2) Inspect my plants better and just be more thorough overall

3) place the lights horizontally and as close to the plants as humanly possible.

4) Indoor pales in comparison to outdoor.

5.) General observation: CFL bulbs while they can work are incredibly weak and the plant could really use a lot more.

Also I have a computer fan soaking to clean of the dust, It is a thermaltake fan that sucks air out of the bottom and blows it out the side (it is vertical), I am going to install it on the ceiling so that air will be sucked from above the container -> blow across the container and then -> out the vent.

got rid of that one I said I was gunna get rid of, now I have 8, I just got done letting one set in the sun for an hour as an experiment...I now have 5 of 8 seedlings...if I just randomly let them go set out in the sun here and there can that cause any problems?

This concludes day 5 since planting germinated seeds in soil (day 4 and 3 for some of my plants)

Lights out for these guys is now officially 7 to 10pm they have completed their first dark cycle..I picked up 3 litters of aquafina..I have read the ph for this is 6.9 - I am concerned of the Ph of my soil and will need to test it soon..I am thinking as soon as we have a bad weather forcast the outdoor ones are coming indoors...its really nice outside for plants we have 85 degree weather and flash rainstorms for many days they just love it. I am higly considering bring them in for flower just to keep the buds safe from predactors and disease..and to stress her out to create more thc due to such less light intensity..that is just my theory from my research...

That concludes day 5 since planting germinated seeds in soil (day 4 and 3 for some of my plants)
- Updated pics in the morning - possible aquafina watering after lights out tommorow night around midnight...more sun bathes for the little guys/gals also...

well its not looking good for my tallest one, he is very wilted and just looks dead, he got way to close to the light..the other ones are forming leaves..we had an incredibly strong rainstorm and Im curious about the outdoor ones..i gave him about 10cc of aquafina just to moiten the surface that had dryed out and moved back away from the light (he is 4 inches total from the light now, I am pretty sure he touched the light and gew into the cetner of the bulb)

Ok well all my seedlings are dead, one of them verified to me he is about to byte the dust just now...The emergency blanket basically turned that place into an oven I believe - got thermometer/hydrometer check atm...

Did some shopping today picked up:
1.pearlite
2.starter seedling mix
3. thermometer/hydrometer
4 A seedling humidity dome that came with jiffy pellets

The plan is stabilize the temperatures and try again with more bagseed - oh yeah and I got my seeds from attitude - Cole Train(x1), White Widow(x1), Sharks Breath(x1), Sweet tooth(x5)...all are feminized except the cole train...I am going to try the sweet tooth once i get this bagseed down.

so I am basically going to need to increase ventilation massively or tear down the emergency blanket and most likely paint the inside white..If I just simply tear down the emergency blanket then the box is going to glow again lol

Stop by a dry cleaners and ask them for a Bridal Gown Box. Thats wat i star my seeds in, its like 20"x 24"x 39"h. you will have more space and it is very easy to vent cardboard. i use 3 $6 4in. personal fans from wal-mart, 2 pullin air out on top and one pushin it in on the bottom. I have the same(prolly) 14w t5 and 4-8 26w cfls, my temp stays between 84f-88f.

I thought i had some pics of it on my com. but it was only partials. I could take some tonight or tom and post them if you would like. Im in the process of building another one that i will use as a veg. chamber. Its stupid simple to build too!:blsmoke:

Later. . . :peace:

What kind of room do you have, and are you tryin to go stealth? I made my flower tent out of pvc and panda film(blk./wht. poly). Its opaque and you can make the pvc any size you want with the right connectors.:-P

yea it does need to be stealth its in a basement full of rubermaids and cardbord boxes so that is a big reason why I choose this route..fan noise not that big of a deal because there is alot of computers running in the same room - room is cold around 50-65 even in the summer time..escaping light in the biggest concern

Got ya! you could prolly do something creative with a big box, maybe put all the vents on the back or something. . and put it aginst a wall. I would have some pics for you but im in a dark cycle now lol:bigjoint:

Yeah man you need to redo this whole thing for sure. Try something like this and do A-LOT of research.

thanks man, love the drawing :P

I am going to continue to refine the chamber possibly redo it outright from scratch, I am going to give myself 2 weeks to perfect it because In two weeks I will know for sure If I am getting my new house - If I move into my new house I can just use this for veg or mother box or something...I will be able to use a much larger area over there and the concern about stealth won't be as strict..I can use a full basement + walk in closet and upgrade to get a few 600W HPS Lights at that time

Sounds like a great plan to me
