1st Grow Ever. Need help!

Ok this is my first grow ever. I have a Critical Purple Kush by Seedsman in a 4x4 tent under a Viparspectra 600 and an Hipargero 800 on a 18/6 schedule.
I also have 2 autos. A Girl Scout Cookies and a Gorilla Glue, both by Fast Buds.
I'm running the same soil amendments for all 3 plants. FFOF soil, about 30% perlite, and some worm castings. I always PH my water to 6.3-6.5. I did my first feeding today with FF nutes at 1/4 strength.
All 3 plants germinated the same day and are 11 days old. Each plant is only around 3.5-4 inches tall, but my autos seem to be growing slowly compared to my photoperiod? Then again, I'm not sure if it's normal since it's my first grow? My lights were initially 24 inches away, but today I moved them to about 34 inches. Good move?While I'm at it, do my plants looks healthy? The Gorilla Glue has kind of been a slacker compared to the GSC.. I notice my leaves are a tad drooped after the feed today as well. Hey man.. if you start your photo's in smaller pots they will take off quicker to begin with.. do you start your photos in same size pot? looks like your using 3gal? I believe 30" would be okay at 11 days.. they look okay i wouldnt stress, gsc looks better in the middle ofc. maybe watering abit to close intervals? they'll take off man

ps im growing a GSC atm too, was smaller at 11 days tbh. then at day 35 i snapped the main stem clean in half now its my biggest and best plant.

Most common mistake is probably watering too often.
Roots develop much faster in a moist but not wet soil. (yours look a bit too wet)
You can put your finger in the soil to see if it´s still moist and also lift your pots to see how much they weight.
Compare the weight from a completely dry soil to a completely moist soil and wait with watering until you are around 50% dry/wet weight.
If the pot is still heavy and the top part of your soil is completely dry you can spray a bit of water so that the top part of the soil is still moist while the lower part can dry out.

When you water, make sure your soil is completely saturated after watering and there are no dry spots in the soil. (maybe compare the weight again to a fully wet soil and take your time when watering)

Not sure about ph adjusting in soil, i never did that and watered with ~7-7.5 ph and had never any issues.

I started it off in 7 gallon pots since I was doing the same for the autos. Just convenient I guess. I appreciate the advice and I'll try smaller pots next time

Well I usually give it time for the top inch to completely dry out, but that seems to happen daily? My temps stay about 77F and my humidity stays around 45%

Live and learn. They're still alive so I'll count that as a win lol. I only did it bc I was using older soil (not used) and the plants took off kind of slow. I was thinking the soil may be depleted. I've had the soil for a little more than a year? Any affects there?

Try the weight method then.

7 gallon soil can hold around 0.7 gallon of water. (You should be able to water at least 0.35gallon per watering, otherwise it´ll probably be too often)

I usually water less than that, but yesterday I upped it a bit and gave each plant a little less than a 3rd of a gallon. I was gonna skip watering today and do plain PH'ed water tomorrow (as long as the top inch is dry). Sound about right?

I dont think your plants will need 1/3rd gallon per day.
From looking at your plants i think you´ll probably have to water again in a week or two.

A seven gallon pot of ocean forest will hold over gallon and a half of water. Anyways, a third of a gallon is way too much for those seedlings imo. That’s asking for death. I don’t see it drying out quick enough

No..it’s all wrong. You posted this on Friday and it’s now only Monday but I suspect your seedlings are looking pretty rough pretty quick. You’re giving them too much water at once and you’re talking about watering them again the next day?? Stop now. Lol.

Sometimes, a plant just enjoys to be left alone for a few days other than their daily rotations for even light...I'd give her some time to relax and adjust to it's new environment, after all, it's still a baby

Seedling in 7 gallons of saturated soil? You could easily not water for the next 14 days and the plant will likely thank you for it.

They're actually looking great. And I watered em with about .33 gallons w nutes before I posted my 1st thread, skipped a day, and watered again with less, abeit plain, water. My soil stays pretty dry using the fabric pots and the temp stays around 80-84 in my tent. The closet stays about 77 and I water them less than the photo in the tent.

I didnt do a 3rd per day, i just upped it to a 3rd with the nutes. I don't water every day and I only use around a pint and a half per watering. That was just a one-off bc my soil was staying super dry. I never have run-off or anything, yet. I usually water every other day or every 2 days depending on how dry the top-soil is

Only my top-soil gets saturated. I don't get run-off or anything. I used a 3rd of a gallon one time w nutes. Usually I use around a pint and a half, give or take, every other day or every 2 days depending on my top-soil

I'll never use it again myself. I've been watching "Mr. Canucks" on YouTube and he gets great results with coco and 2 nutes (Gaia Green) that he mixes in with a little perlite at the beginning of the grow. He top dresses it one more time before flower and thats it. He gets amazing results with so little. Everybody else seems to tell ya that you have to have a PHD in botany and alchemy to grow
