The friend I gave clones II and III said me they went really big (well, in proportions).

Clone II is already 12 cm (4.7 inches) tall.

It is due to better soil but mostly to more sun hours in its place, I guess.

Today I bought a 25 cm (10 inches) new pot, and transplanted my girl.

I also bought organic fertilizer (horse manure) and used 1/3 of it and 2/3 generic soil (see first posts) for pot filling.

My plant had took up all of the previous pot space with roots! I'm hoping this fourth transplant operation will benefit the plant.

This is going to be the last transplant operation before harvest!

As always, here we go with some pics:

My Clone 1 is also doing very well, and growing new leaves set very fast:

I was wondering if it was time to TOP or FIM it... already opened a dedicated thread (click to see).

What's your word? Top, Fim, or leave it be for some more time?

I went back home after 10 days of holydays!
I asked some of my relatives to take care of the plants while I was away, and they did it.

I came back home, and found on the plant bigger buds as I left her.

Here's an overview:

The main colas close up...

Those colas even closer...

And the top super-close: (click for hi-res pic)

GUYS, I wish you could smell the flavor... it smells like resinous fresh skunk!

Clone 1 also grown and started budding, but strangely enough it had burned tips on its lower leaves... maybe something in the soil?

Here's a pic of the clone:

10 days are passed since last update.

Some hairs are turning red here and there, but yet the trichs haven't started to change (there are plenty of them forming, indeed).

Smell is getting stronger and stronger... and I love it!

I think I got still 1 full month before even considering harvest... and I can't wait!

As usual, here are some pics for you guys!

Today I bought a 40x microscope for $12, to check my trichs.

The overall result:

5% clear
85% milky
10% amber

I'm nearing the end, my friends!

I'll harvest when I'll get roughly:

70% milky
30% amber

(yes I like head-high much more than couch-lock)

Few more weeks to go...

After some research (of course with the help of RIU), I understood that my plant has still quite a lot of time to go ripe.

Today I cutted a mini-sample, dried it with an hair-dryer and smoked after about 30 minutes (definitely NOT the right way to do it, but I wanted to try).
Just to convince myself that I have to WAIT.

I got a bit high, but it was more like a tease... it was over after about half an hour. Definitely not worth a grow.

Waiting... and hoping for sunny weather in the fall!

On the main plant, calyxes swelled and almost all the pistills are reddish/brown and receded into the bud.

I'm constantly checking the trichomes with my 40x scope, and here's my report on the whole plant's buds:

- Clear: 50%
- Milky/cloudy: 40%
- Amber: 10%
(sorry I messed up the values in the previous post).

A single bud close-up: (click to see full res pic)

So even if the plant is looking overall "almost" ready, an in-depth checking of the trichomes says I still have a few more to wait. And I will.

Oh, here's the Clone I, in its week 13: (click to see full res pic)

it is more resinous than the mother plant (it gets more light), but it's a few weeks behind in terms of maturation.
It is 15 cm (6 inches) high... and it will end up in a single, fat, powerful joint :eyesmoke:

Okay guys at this time, the trich ratio is:

- 30% clear
- 55% milky
- 15% amber

Tomorrow will be the last time this plant will see the sun.

Tomorrow evening, she will start a non-stop 48-72 hours of dark, and then I'll harvest!!!

The overall look is very ripe, most of the leaves are yellowing or already fallen off.
No more white pistills, calyxes are swollen, the buds look great!

I'll keep ya posted.

I have slightly delayed the beginning of dark period (I will be away next week for a few days, and I did not want the bud to dry up too much while I was away).

72 hours of darkness starts NOW!

Will post pics at harvest :-)))

What a day was yesterday!

After 18 weeks of flowering (plus 8 of vegging), AND 3 days of dark, this beauty was chopped:

Here is the harvest:

Manicuring took 3+ hours!!

And this is the final result:

I even found one seed I wasn't aware of (probably from her brother pollen): I'll call it Sativa Hope :)

Here's what I'm gonna do with the harvest:

Trimmings will go into some cookies.
Fan leaves are gonna be liquour.
Seed will go into a pot next spring.
Buds... after dried and cured, bongsmilie & :bigjoint:

The drying setup:

One thing I didn't forecast, was the very first hash: rubbing my hands, I came up with a very delicious and potent kief, that I smoked while trimming.

Here's some of it (total 2 joints came out):

The first one you see in the white bowl, is really premiere quality kief. Second one is rubbed out from scissors after trimming, and while full of plant material, was very "gummy" and potent.

Fan leaves are now gonna stay into pure alcohol for 2 months, to make an herb liquor (not psychoactive):

I also ended up with a nice Christmas Tree to try revegging with:

I'm smoking everyday since 4 days ago LOL! :eyesmoke:

Pretty UP high with a little messy feeling probably due to mid-late harvesting, but definitely strong and clear if you do some hits from the bong. bongsmilie

Indeed, smoking at evening, I always woke up late these days.

Notes of citrus can be found in the flavor, which I expect to get better and better while it cures. :blsmoke:

Can't wait to cook it!
