1st Grow- Hydro Autoflowers under 1000w

Hello everyone, this is my first grow. I am growing Easy Ryder, Diesel Ryder, Auto White Russian, Auto Ak-47, and Snowryder. I got all the seeds from dope-seeds.com. They shipped fast, were discreetly packaged, and i got five free snowryder seeds (which i am including in the grow).

My set-up consists of:

- Half of bathroom used as growroom
- 1000W HPS+MH Light
- 2 18-gallon hydro drip+bubble systems
- 1 10-gallon hydro drip system
- Fox Farm Nutes (Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom)
- LED Grow light (still waiting for in the mail)

Broken down I am germinating:

6 Auto AK-47 seeds
2 White Russian feminized seeds
3 Easy Ryder feminized seeds
4 Diesel Ryder seeds
3 Snowryder feminized seed

I started germinating the seeds yesterday morning using the paper towel method in a ziplock bag on top of my heater. All except one AK-47, 3 Diesel Ryders, and 2 Easy Ryders popped within a few hours. I planted those seeds in rockwool cubes and placed them in my hydro set-ups. I woke up this morning and found the last of all the other seeds popped.

I'm using a light cycle of 20/4 and i will be watering 4 times a day all the way through the grow. I do have more of the same seeds and i might plant some if any of these die or turn male on me. When all of the plants are done i will give smoke reports on all the strains.

I will try to update and post pics every couple of days. If you have any questions or advice please feel free to let me know.

holy shit, your using 1000 watts for seedlings..? wish i could afford to do that lol this should be a good grow good luck!!

yeh i am, but i'm thinking that when i get my led light i will re-position the 1000w up higher and put the led light to the side of the plants so they can get the most light from all angles. here's some pics of my current setup. i over-watered a lot of my seedlings like the noob i am and ended up killing some. lucky for me i have plenty of more seeds . i also added a pic of one of my ak47s 1 day after germination.

i got my led light but my 1000w basically cancels it out so i'm not sure if i will even have to use it. most of the sprouts seem to be doing fine. here are pics of the white russian, easy ryder, diesel ryder, and ak47 3 day from germination. i also added a pic of the ak47 2 days from germination.

I've been away for a couple of days but now i'm back with an update. it has been 12 days and less since germination for my seedlings. so far, it seems the ak47s, diesel ryders, and easy ryders will give me the best yields. they seem to be doing fine. however the snowryders and auto white russians have been giving me problems since the beginning. they are barely growing and some of the leaves are starting to twist. believing the twisting problem to come from wrong ph, overwatering, or too many nutrients i ended up flushing my set-ups earlier today, hopefully they will begin to show improvement. i included pics of the ak, wr, dr, and er.

Im subscribed man. i just ordered 5 auto ak47 myself so i am interested in this grow as i am also using fox farm nutes but i grow i soil..... good luck

good luck 2 you as well. all of my ak47 seeds i had germinated quickly and developed roots quicker than all of the other strains. it should be a good grow for you.

It has been 16 days since germination for my largest ak47 and around 5-12 days for the rest of the plants. i am only growing 11 autos right now since i killed my first batch due to overwatering. the ak looks like it will be showing sex soon. i included an update of my setup as well.

Looking good man I'm doing a 1000w Mi5 autoflower grow right now my plants are at 11 days from seed and not looking nearly as big as yours!

Ok, i woke up and examined my fastest growing ak47 from the first batch. My face looked like this. It looks like this plant has finally shown it's sex: MALE. I just need someone to confirm though because i have seen people pulling their plants only to find out that the plant was female and they should have waited a lil longer to determine sex. It has been 3 weeks since germination.

they say that the auto flower plants show between 18 to 22 days some a li later or sooner but that definately looks to be a boy sorry man ?? kill it or make seeds but if you make seeds you will have alot less bud in this batch all in how you look at it i guess ? more bud now or more seeds for free for later ??? My seeds are 11 days in today and they are just a lil behind yours we will be harvesting very close good luck !!!!

mine showed at 11 days also, i am makin seeds with mine. what strain is this? Mine are LowLife Russian rocket Fuel, about 3 weeks old, 18 inches tall, flowering real good, i have pics on my page.

ok , so i let it grow for another week and the ak47 started developing a whole lot of balls so i trashed it and kept some of the big fan leaves. i'll probably do a seed run on my next grow. currently i have 9 autoflowers growing. 6 of them are female which is cool and 3 of them have not shown sex yet. i'm hoping for 8 out of the 9 to be girls. my goal is to get at least 10oz out of what i have left.
