dude problem is buying a cheap ebay led. What is power rating on it? LED lights that really work are high wattage per chip- like 2 or 3 w per chip, 180-600 w total. I am running a Blackstar 240 ( 3 w chips) and two 90 w ufos ( 1 w chips) on side. Growth is fn amazing
I have 2 units and they are 200 watts each. I saw them at the local hydro store for $160 each. The people on eBay I get them from our local wholesalers which is why their price is so cheap I guess.
Mediw33d, it's 30"x30" with 21 plants currently (unsexed). Am doing a SOG since I have so many. They're in 4" pots now and will repot tomorrow to 1gal pots since roots are starting to show out the drain holes. When I flower will replace the daylight CFLs with 23w soft white.
LOL REALLY..... how can you claim this.......
Many lights work. As to efficiency..that's another matter.
'PROOF' as you say is in the TIME.....HEALTH of plants....COST to run......YIELD per watt or £ spent etc.
So far you have not calculated any of these as you have not completed the grow.
I can grow plants next to my fish tanks due to the lights used in it........ but to state I have proof they work is a little like saying 'rain is wet' .
if they are the exact units you put the link up too they are only 13.6 watts if i read correctly. you have to be really carefull buying led lights there are so many inferior quality lamps that just wont do what it says on the tin. thats why i eventually opted to go with 400 hps from the off.
I just did a transplant to bigger pots ... It was messy hopefully they make it. Like I said I have already made the choice to go HPS and aeroponics on the next run. As for proof the proof I was speaking of is that they will grow just fine from seedling to what they are and yes I am sure you can grow with any light ... That was not questioned.
and HA stupid me ... I glanced at the box and the box says "compared to 200 watt". This will teach you kids, dont smoke and read lol. None the less they seem to be working good for now, if I can pull an ounce out it was worth it.
