Ok so I figured I'd post some pics as my grow is on its last few weeks
instead of uploading a bunch of pics & getting stuff all mixed up I'll start a new grow log once my room is done & my next grow starts..

what I have is 2 Green-O-Matic fem auto's
and 1 60 Day Wonder fem auto in a small closet..

1 200W CFL + 1 55W just for the hell of it..
These plants have never been under any other light source so let me know what yah think of their size compared to the HPS or MH lights..

1 G-O-M & the 60DW was germed on May17th sprouted outa the dirt 2 days later.
The other G-O-M sprouted May26th
I rearranged the closet yesterday took out some of the stuff to make room next grow it'll be way better Im losing too much light this way & have learned way more..lol

The 2 @ back are the GOM left is the older one..
The small little girl up front is the 60DW & her cola is as fat as a beer can & is only maybe 10" @ most..

Random close ups..For some reason I cant find the pics i took today

I just snapped off a couple pics so yah'll can get the jist of the room I know not impressive @ all but like I said Im a newb 1st timer..So laugh all yah want..lol
The floor with a 8" ghetto fan carbon scrubber..And what u cant see is the 14" Fan blowing across the plant tops..
The 200W CFL & the 55W just hovering over the 60DW a little more light aint hurt noone The big 200W I can hold in my hand & have literally left leaves touching it for a couple days with no burns the little 55W gets pretty damn hot tho & will burn leaves within a hour or 2

I know they dont look bright in the pics but they are lol

and just a closer look @ the carbon filter if anyone needs a easy idea..

first big pointer. your light source is being wasted on the top of your box and ambient light, you want to fit a rather large fire proof light reflector onto that large bulb. personally i have a habit of half arseing things till i get it done. so some tinfoil and cardboard will probably do if you hang it from a wire frame. this will reduce the need for more light bulbs. :) also i found that if you want to increase light cheaply. all you need is an emergency foil blanket (made from Mylar wiki it if you don't know what it is. ) and some pva glue.... :) worked for me :P ps. having more than 1 light sorce makes the plant flower unevenly and un-simultaneously . if you plan to put ur plant into a 3 day dark period before harvest it makes things difficult.

Yeah I plan on getting another one of those 200W bulbs & build a good reflective hood for them and have both horizontal
Im just going to paint the walls flat white & build something movable to reflect the light back as much as possible to enclose the plants without having to use up the entire closet..
I do have a ghetto growbox but they've outgrown it so just kinda plopped them where they are now..lol

Sorry newb question but why would I put them in a 3 day dark period..?

another thing besides what rhyspect said the 200 w should really be hung horizontally as well. not only does it increase the intensity, but the brightest part of those bulbs are it's side. not only letting you get the bulb closer thereby increasing the lumens reaching the plant and making your buds bigger and tighter, but also helping to semi control stretch. do a test for your self to see which angle lights the most space and you'll see what i mean :) looks good by the way

Yep I plan on building or buying if I can find one a double socket hood for 2 of those big loopy bulbs..
Ive been reading a lot about different hood & have found out that a double arch hood with the light in the center of the 2 arches is the best way to go..
Because the thickness of the bulbs Im thinkin Im going to have to fab one up myself..

Damn I love that cfl (if you can call it that).
On my next grow, I think all my current flouro tubes will be on the sides and I think I'm gonna put 6 or so of those huge fkn clf's on top of the plants.
Looks good m8. That filter works well for you?

Thanks yah the cfl works great cant wait to get another..
Yes the filter works great as well but have recently read that it should be sucking the air thru it instead of blowing thru works better I guess..?
So I'll prolly change'er over & see if it makes a difference..

Peace

Totally forgot I made this thread so I'll post some updated pics..lol

I had the names mixed up when I started the thread
These ones are the 60 Day Wonder on day 60 now but looks like she need a bit more time

Switching the carbon to the sucking side of the fan makes a big difference !

She's a week younger then the top one
