1st grow

I currently have 3 seeds in moist soil waiting for them to sprout. They're Northern lights blue from delicious seeds. My set up is a 4x4x6.5 grow tent with a 300/450/600w hid lighting set up (the ballest allows me to set the wattage at any one of those 3 levels). My question is what should I do to get a high yield of quality bud? should I low stress trane or just let them grow?

If you have the room for it I would go SCROG... I haven't ever tried but everything I read tells me that this is a must try lol.. Most bang for your buck!

Does your ballast run hps bulbs as well? If so, then you may want to start saving some £/$s for a bulb.
A Scrog or LST grow, with that setup, should/could be awesome!

Yeah I did some quick research on the scrog method and I agree. It does sound great for my situation. Im willing to bet Ill need tons more knowledge and some guidance on how to make it work so Ill post pictures, updates, and future questions on this thread.
It does run hps as well! I have a MH light in when the seeds sprout, then im going to swith to the HPS when I swith to the 12/12 photo period.
One quick question: I simply put the seeds in the soil and watered them hoping for them to germinate and grow. This is the second day and I've watered lightly twice a day, but the soil seems to be quite dry. So my question is how moist/wet/dry does the soil need to be in order to allow germination and growth?

Not wet...moist. If the soil's too wet it could result in "damping off"

I've lost a few this way. It can be a tricky balance.

A Scrog is no great problem for a first timer. It happens little by little, so there's not much opportunity to f%$k up.

The quick answer is read. Not trying to be an ass but it worked for me.

when i was reading all of this one thing stuck me really bad and very very surprised no one else said anything...but don't use that mh on 300 watts for you sprouts...you

No, actually I have a seedling growing under 450w mh and it is thriving! As long as you can keep the temp down the more wattage the merrier
