Hi, Marty, I've had the pleasure of viewing your entire thread today and to answer, the yellowing of the leaves may not be a bad thing, as this happens while the plants reach maturity. During flowering the plants use the nitrogen stored up in the leaves to fuel bud growth. Keep an eye on those pistils to see if the trichomes turn 70% amber in color. You've given me hope in just one day. Keep it up!

This is good advice about the yellowing leaves. Perfectly normal in late flower.

I think that 70% amber tric's is way too long to wait. I'd look for mostly cloudy tric's with about 20% amber myself. It all depends on what kind of effect you want from your plant.

Hey essdizzle, thanks for the good advice

it was a bit concerning as it the yellowing did progress pretty rapidly. But instead of full bloom feed i just gave the 2 biggest plants a 3/4 dose of the bloom and 1/4 grow feed to top its nitrogen levels back up

Hey Mister B, Im glad you both raised the subject of the trichome colour... Im not to sure of what amber to cloudy ratio i will be wanting..

My personal preference is a real stoned were i cant be assed to do anything.. i just wanna be stuck to the couch haha Will i be looking for more amber for this??

P.s Some nice news for me today i have finally started to see fast development of Trichomes on the plant i tied out the branches, So these comments come at good time!

So my internet connection has been set and activated, Time to show you how my buds look

Riiiight cant be assed to do a big write up of how the girls are going as there is only a few of you actually watching these posts...

I will let my pictures do the talking...Earliest to newest from left.. to right....( There are My 2 biggest girls )

Now just some quick images of how the bud evelopment has been taking place...(Pictures from smaller of the 2 big girls)

The last picture is of the main cola showing how it is getting preddy big! Since the first pistols were visible on the 1st of october to the 17th... With 5 or so weeks to go this is looking to be a great success (regarding all stats well) The cola is now at about 6inces tall and as fat as a broom handle.. So im sure to see alot more growth :eyesmoke:

Quick note... The topped plant that is is showing smaller skinny buds is a good week and a half behind the progress of the tied down plant. :leaf:

I expect to see alot more growth and fatness... Its looking that the 2 main colas of this plant have the potential to be a good 8-9inches long.

fucken eh man! how did the leaves respond after you gave them the xtra N from the grow formula? Im pretty sure I read thread from a high profile guy on here say he uses high N/grow nutes all the way through flower. If I can find the thread Ill quote it for you.

Hey Cpt420, After i gave them a good shot of nitrogen feed they have been AMAZING! the bud growth rate shot up.. The colour of the new and existing vegitations looked fresh and just has an overall better look and feel.. I think what i may do for the last 5 weeks is to apply my feed as follows

-Bloom - Water - n feed - Water - Bloom...And so on

or i might just ad 2 ml of feed to 3 ml of bloom and apply feeds that way

Very impressed. Great plants. All look very healthy. Like the contrast between topped and not topped as well as LST'ed and not. Will be interesting to see the difference in yields this will produce. Still a way to go though. Keep it going.

Yup the contrasts have been great.. I have been enjoying this grow alot as each plant has been so different... Its like they have personalitys lol Yup still 5 weeks so gotta keep focused

Speaking of personality, my girl Ruth has quite that. According to my Herb IQ LST'ed her on 9/10. Her age is 67/20. She vegged for 47 days. I put her in 12/12 after 40 days and it took 7 days to show she would be a horny female. She was already a short Indica Dom bagseed plant. The stem was already pretty strong but I don't have much room so I bent her anyway. With her on her side like that all the Bud sites have lots of overhead light. I have a target date set for 12/08/12. That would be 10 weeks flowering, I could go longer depending on how far the pistils have receded. I have like 8 regular cfls. Some are 23W some are 26W. Two are blue and six are red. The pic on the bottom is before LST. I didn't take any pics in between. The 2 on the left are from above before and after. The last 3 are how she looks today. Got about 7 pretty good bud sites and I keep the canopy pretty level. They should all be pretty tight buds.

Just thought I would share my cfl grow with ya since you asked. Your plants look great but don't be afraid to put a little bondage on those bitches next time. I have another bagseed plant that is a Sativa Dom that I tried to FIM. I guess it worked alright but the middle bud didn't take much so I LST'ed the branches out of the way. That fine lady is Lucinda. Full name: Lucinda Fim Folgers. I give my girls name to keep track of them, personalize them and give them some mojo be be a female. That doesn't always work out. These girls had some boys accompany them into life. I think 2 out of 5 were female but I've got plenty of bagseeds, LOL. Sorry about the pic quality it was a cheap Big Lots camera. But it's bout the same speed as my hillbilly hippie redneck grow room.

Yeah man that's awesome! i love them before and after shots there insane! It really does show how the LST Made it go crazy haha the over head shot as it is now is amazing i love it... You can tell that is going to get real bushy ans im sure yield well for you! The reason i did before and after shots is that i really like to see it.. and im sure showing the plants before and after will benefit many

really should have named the lot i can never describe which plant im on about haha gets pretty confusing..

Yeah i really should have lst'd a lot more..but at the time i did that stem was strong as shit, haha but My next grow i have planned to veg for 6-8 weeks and lst the branch right over such as yours.. Im sure it's going to look and be fantastic to grow just like yours will be too!

Soooo some more pics for you all at 5 weeks 2 days of 12/12 (Please note some plants are a week to 2 weeks behind in pistol development)

This picture below shows how the topped plants 2 colas are coming along...There about 7 inches long at the moment and really starting to pile on the mass...

Sooo there they are... The buds are growing at a real fast rate and there really is alot of weed right now ha No clue how much but i suspect il have atleast an ounce at the end of this..No its not alot but these plants are small little ladys and i may even end up with more... Who knows!

Little bit of news for whoever see's this....

Had to chop my smallest plant as it decide it no longer wanted to be a girl and started to hermy

20 minutes later....I have a trimmed down bud ready for hanging... I know the smoke wont be great but i am interested to see what the high i get feels like.

Also considering this plant was about 28cm tall... The bud amount i have on it has impressed me especially as it was harvested 3 weeks early..But i have to do what ihave to do to save my big girls :leaf:
