1st post...am I almost done?

First post on here, the site is great. I was able to pretty much setup and grow my first setup by just looking at things listed on here.

These guys are on their 52nd day of flowering. Got mostly cloudy Trichomes but I don't see any amber ones yet. I could really use some smoke and I am tired of waiting on these guys.

They are all bag seeds and I have already started 7 more. Am I wasting my time? Are these good to go now? I was thinking of hitting them up with 48 hours of dark and then cutting them. Good idea? c.jpge.jpga.jpgf.jpgb.jpgd.jpg

It's too soon.... you just are starting to get brown pistils and the calyxes don't look swollen up yet. If you have nothing else to smoke, maybe take some smaller popcorn buds from the lower portion of the plant, but give those colas more time. I'm guessing they need another 14 days, easy.

I'm actually a very patient person..

and yea, I still see too many white young new pistils.

I would give her a good 2 maybe even 3 weeks and then see how they look then.

You can speed up the ripening if your really impatient by cutting light down to 10 hours a day... That should prevent new bud growth.

^Agreed, not quite ready yet. Probably close to 2 weeks left, to be done.


Clip a couple of the lower buds, if you need something to smoke now. They'll be good, just not quite as good as the finished product. :wink:

you sure about that?

Its been my experience that the top buds.. especially the main kohla are the ones that start maturing/ripening first and the plant works its way down all the way to the last bud stalks.

If I'm wrong, by all means let me know. I'm no pro/expert. I mean, I know a good amount.. but I'm no pro.

Very nice but deffo not ready yet. Growing teaches patience and if you can't learn the lesson, you can't grow. It's true that potheads have short attention spans yet are able to perform mind-numbing tasks for hours on end. What is with us??????

Pretty impressive for a first timer. Don't let us down by chopping now.

It was just a line...didn't mean anything by it. I suppose my patience for my first grow is coming to an end and I want to get to the results! I didn't really ever expect to get this far or get such sticky plump nugs, so I guess I can wait another two weeks or so for them to finish up. Bummer.

Thanks for all the props and suggestions.
