Those roots look ok. Just make sure your ph is stable, that you keep your water level about where it is, and when you change water add some hydrogen peroxide with your water (not with nutes though). Canna makes a product called cannazyme that will help break up dead root material and has hormones to promote new growth.

What is the maintainance of this hydro op? Were you always having to test ph or anything? What was the process like? Im about to start mine, just wondering whats ahead.

Clearex can also be used at the end of a crop's growth cycle
to trigger the last reproductive stage of the plant,
forcing it to process and assimilate endogenous nutrients.

Clearex contains specific electrolytes and selected mono and disaccharides
which provide energy for the biosynthesis of important plant metabolites
and macromolecules.

Pre harvest treatments with Clearex are known to enhance the flavor
and increase yields in fruits, vegetables, and culinary herbs
by flushing out extraneous chemical nutrients.

You should test PH & PPM everyday. As plants get bigger top off once a week with PH'd water & add more nutes to maintain PPM. :peace:

yeah i love clearex. its really amazing. i use it every three water changes and during flushing. You can actually watch the ppm meter rise as the salts come out of the plant. And like earl said, the last flush throws the plant into overdrive. Overnight you will notice amzazing calyx swelling and the whole process is sped up so you have more time to give the plant full nutes.

Yo Earl do use any H2o2 in your grow or does the clearex suffice?

Yes I use H2o2 when necessary.

If the pH falls below 5.2
and stays in the 4.5 area,
that is a good indicator of root rot,
and adding 10ml/gl of 35% H2o2,
will stop the root rot,
and the pH will rise back to 5.5-5.8

Using Piranha and Tarantula
are good ways to prevent Root Rot.

If you use these beneficial bacteria,
then the pH will be 6.0-6.5

The Clearex is run between each nute change,
by itself in plain RO, and then flushed,
before nutes are again added.

now how long do you keep the clearex in the res for? just a 1-1 1/2 week normal feeding cycle?

cause wouldnt just clearex cause a nute lockout/deficiency?

and does anyone know if H2O2 will kill mold?

35% H2o2 will kill mold.
You need a sponge and wipe it on and off.

You do not need to pH adjust the clearex.

Use Clearex with every one to two reservoir changes. Use 1/2 to 1 ounce (15 - 30 ml) of Clearex per gallon of water. Pour one to two quarts of solution per plant site with minimum 80 - 90% run-off. Dump waste run-off and fertigate as usual or add Clearex to pure water in reservoir without nutrients. Run system. Use 1/2 to one ounce (15 - 30 ml) of Clearex per gallon of water. Check EC or PPM in reservoir. Run system for 15 - 60 minutes or until EC or PPM stops rising. Dump reservoir. Add desired nutrient dosage and water, then adjust pH. Fertigate as usual.

Clearex Salt Leaching Directions
Before applying Clearex, foliar spray plants with pure water. Use Clearex in the early morning or evenings.

Pre-Harvest Treatment (Soil or Soilless)
Discontinue fertilizer regime 2 - 3 days before harvest. Use 1 to 2 tablespoons (15 - 30 ml) of Clearex per gallon of water. Water as needed.

Thanks for the update Earl. Probably should foliar spray 10-15 minutes prior to lights coming on or going off right before using clearex? :peace:

just bought some of the clearex. shit seems pretty legit. i have about 3 weeks left on flower then its cut time.. im thinking next sunday imma clearex it then nute then on final 3-4 days clearex again then just feed straight ph'd distilled for the last 3 days. any thoughts on that?

oh and should ya flush every thing out after dumping the clearex out of the res before adding the nutes?

and where can you get 35% H2O2? i see its for food grade and hot tub cleaning.. a plumbing supply house? doubt a hydro shop will have it

When flushing with the clearex you have to empty the entire res before you add nutes. Dont add clearex & nutes together. The best brand of 35% H2O2 too purchase would be Grotek. Just google it. Peroxide can be added while you have the nutes in the res. :peace:
