1st time grower in week 8. Please Help

Gentleman and Ladies,

First off, thank you for the help. Okay, so I am on day 54 of flower and this is the first time I have grown. I recently picked a few small buds at the beginning of week 7, on day 47, and they tasted decent and they were stoney. However, there was very little smell or taste of the nug when I smoked it. The nugs smell very strong (like skun) while they are on the plant but they lost most of their smell and taste once I dried and cured a few premature nugs. My question to you is, will the smell of the nugs increase in week 8 and 9 of flower? Meaning, do you think the lack of smell and the taste of the finish product was poor due to being premature? The genetics are Skywalker OG

Let it finish mate stop pancaking and let it does it’s thing. I grow skywalker OG and it stinks! When you harvest trim everything off and leave as a plant then hang it upside down. Be patient and let it dry correctly and it should stink. Don’t try to rush the drying process you will ruin it. If it stinks on the plant but then lost it’s smell during drying them you’ve most likely dried it wrong.

I clipped off some lower branches at the end of week 6 then I hung them by the stem upside down for (3 days) in a dark room that was at 70 degrees with 35% humidity. The nugs shrunk down quite a bit because it is premature. I think that I just need to let it completely finish. I have not tried a nug since then.

70/35 is gonna dry'em out quick, which may impact smell. slow down the dry, if poss

I hang my for 5/6 days at least. 3 days is to quick. Don’t panick. Slow the dry down and they will stink. Doesn’t matter how good the bud is when it’s growing, if you dry it to quick It will not reach its full potential. Also the all the buds will shrink down premature or not that’s just part of the drying process dude. It’s depressing I know lol
