Greetings rollitup community! This is my first time growing indoor and it is easier said than done that’s for sure. Respect to those who have mastered a technique & are doing their thing

Now i am currently growing 2 Apple Fritter Cookies (Hybrid) one Gorilla Glue (Hybrid) & one is unknown. I planted these on small cups on May 5,2019 then transplanted them to 5lb pots with Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil after a month. Their light cycle has been 16hr of light and 6hr of darkness. The tallest plant reaches my belly button and I’m 5’7. I am using a 6ft x 6ft x 7ft tent & the light im currently running is a 600w full spectrum light. One thing i been debating about is what technique i should go for a great yield, which one would I benefit the most in my situation (topping, FIMing, low stress training etc) i been Im also just wondering what should be my next step or what should I prepare for. I will post pictures of my setup and of the ladies of course. I’d highly appreciate any feedback, advice, information and basically anything really. Lol thank you guys sorry for the long essay. One love

The tent you have and that light don’t match up. You need light and more light. Real light or you’ll be back on here asking if anyone thinks your buds will fatten up.

PS they won’t with that light.

I am partial to the SCROG method. Three grows and I have averaged 13 oz. in a 2x4 using the SCROG method - and two 600w blurples.
Thank you for your response! I’m actually looking in to the scrog method I already bought the net. I just hope I don’t screw it up lol

Thank you for the reply! I was looking a 1000w full spectrum light. Do you think adding one of those would be enough?

So I was thinking of topping them trimming the bottom leaves and then eventually applying it the scrog technique. What do you guys think? I definitely want to make them bushier than tall.

I don't even believe those plants have been going since may 5th, are you using those cheap Chinese lights?
I honestly got them from a friend I thought he hooked it up but I agree with you from the looks of it, they might be . What would you recommend me to do? I remember growing in my closet with just one regular light and it was way better looking than these

Yes but you now have a 6' x 6' grow space = 36 square feet. That is significantly larger than your little old closet. If that is a 600 W blurple, you are probably drawing something in the neighborhood of 250 - 270 true watts. ( And honestly, I am not convinced that is a 600 W LED).

Assume 270 watts - that equates to 7.5 watts/sq. ft. in your 36 sq. ft. tent. That is not going to do much but give you lots of LARF. For good yields, you would need about 40 watts / sq. ft. in there.

Let's do the math ... 36 sq. ft. x 40 watts / sq. ft. = 1,440 total wall watts.

I agree with everyone else, but what I might add is, no matter what you do on the light situation, those plants are pretty tall already and are going to stretch to at least double when you flip to 12/12. You better figure out a way quick to combat the stretch

You got me thinking man. This whole time I was sure it was 600w but either way like you said I would need more than that. I’m thinking on getting a 1000w full spectrum light that goes for 150$. I’ll try to get more info on the brand. Or do you recommend a brand?

I definitely want to fix this ASAP. I am planning on topping then scrogging would be the next step just to control the height of the plants.

These are the two lights I’m looking at for now..
Adjustable 1000 W for $122? Can't see the model number/name anywhere so I can't find out the true draw on this one. But it looks like a real POS.

The Sunraise 1000 W light draws 165 real watts. That's fine if you are growing lettuce. Sorry - pass!

I gotta ask before I recommend - are you after good yields?

Okay interesting most likely will go for the $122 light or continue looking for more options.

If I could still get a large yield rn then I’d definitely would go for that for sure.
