1st time indoor.....Advice please

This is my first indoor grow and looking for some advice on what to do.......
Background :
I used bagseed from my 15 year collection of seeds, I used 28 seeds and had 27 pop.
They were vegd for 30 days and have been on 12/12 for a week now.

I used 400w hps on superlumes for a week which caused strecthing, apparently i fumed the bulbs. So there back under 400w mh.

I have 24 females and 3 that haven't shown signs yet. Now since they have been 12/12 they have almost double in height and Im starting to worry about the size there going to get.

I was thinking maybe i should put some mesh in there and do a scrog or lst em but dont have anything to really to tie them down too......Also seen as im only feeding by hand it will make it hard to feed em. Then what if i get a hermie in scrog?

Any suggestions would be appreicated thanks.

15 year old seeds......man you kept those well tooken care of huh.........They are still going to grow a bit....it's only been a week......you got about 2-4 weeks of growth still depending on strain.....I suggest some type of training....and trim most of the lowest buds sites....to focus more energy on the tops ,plus better airflow, and easier access when watering....I wouldn't start scrog this late....you will loose yield this far along......just tie 'em down and or top them if you feel they are going to get too tall.....

Yeah, I wouldn't top them. That's all your nuggies right there. Maybe the lowers for airflow.

27 out of 28 seeds, some of which were 15 years old and 24 of them were female??? Pack your bags; I'm taking your ass to Vegas!! You're either BS'ing or you're the luckiest grower ever. :)

Well it looks like my luck is over :( got 1 male and about 8-9 hermies i think :(
Will post up some pics of suspect plants later.

But on another note i started using flowering nutes and they made half my house smell like dead whale cross rubbish tip........
(I dont think i have heard of nutes smelling bad, Btw the veg nutes have a sort of bubblegum smell)

Coping abit a grief over these flower nutes from the better half (looks like a diff brand maybe next time)
Hopefully the buds will have a stronger smell :)

Man that's messed up. What brand of nutes are you using? I got suckered into the A.N. line and bought some "Synsi-zyme". I used what I needed for that grow and it was a couple of months before I started my next grow and when I opened the lid it smelled like an open sewer. I renamed it "Stinky'zyme". Actually, I took it back and got a refund. I should have with the whole line.

All my nutes smell like ass.....they are made of guanos aka poop...so I don't expect them to smell appealing....lol....as for hermies...that sux.....are you pulling them???

The nutes i'm using are Ducth Master one gold. Probably wasn't the best idea using the cheapest nutes i could find..... Also the being a single nute i thought it would easier
to manage. I dont use any meters ppm/ph and i use chlorinated water straight from the tap.(8ml to a litre, and feed once a day. all of them consume about 4 litres a day.)

Its odd how the veg nutes smell quite good while the flower nutes smell like crap.....

As for the Hermies ill prob throw them outside.(though it is just coming in to veg season where i live)I wouldnt mind trying to make some honey oil with em :) never had any before.....

Just posting some pics of my mini jungle before it gets broken up :(

I use Dutch Masters also and have found it to be very good nutes. Don't assume that you get more if you pay more; that's not so - especially when it comes to cannabis. If the smell bothers you that bad, I suggest getting one of those cheap little ionic air purifiers. They are killer for sucking up odors. You can pick one up on fleabay for about $30. I've had two and they are well worth it.

I don't see anything that leads me to believe they are hermies; I think they are just plain males.

Well its starting to look like my first indoor is a complete failure......... The 1 male i thought i had turned out to be a hermie aswell.
I dont know if its somthing i have done or if its the bagseed i used....... But now i have 2/3rds of crop turned hermie, thats 18 out of 27 plants.

Seriously whats the odds of this happening, Im starting to think theres somthing wrong with my setup..........

My tent light hours are during the day to help prevent light leaks, the room my tent sits in is almost light tight(maybe a tiny little bit of light under the door)
And my tent is light tight..... Temps of the room stay at about 25c.

I dont see where I could have stressed these plants to make so many hermies.

Sounds like you really did your job. Your setup seems almost flawless. I read that if you have seeds that come from a mother plant that is a hermie your seeds will more than likely be hermie. You said you used bagseed so the seeds could have came from anywhere. Order some great seeds, you've invested in great lighting finish the deal with great seeds.

All fem seeds are from hermie ,usually non stressed forms are used to make a female plant "hermie".....coloidial silver is used to make females produce pollen sacs......my point is not all seeds that come from hermie will be prone to being hermie.....but I do agree......... get some good genes......
