1st time indoor T5 grow box

i was told by a 30 yr old grower that it is supposed to be 3 times brighter than the 90 watt ufo's which he also has used... i hope im happy with the results, just having an hps in a 6 square ft box would be expensive heat wise to run. it has two switches on it for veg, flower or half brightness or something else. so if at worse, i will upgrade my t5's in my veg box to this panel if it doesnt cut it for buddin. but im not worried, his grow looked superb, he combines them with t5's tho..

Nice choice on the LED! Ill be interested to see how it preforms (following someone whose growing with the 800w version of that :O)

I have a leaf that looks just like that in the same spot. Kinda looks like phosphorus def almost but i wouldnt do anything. Typically leaves towards the very bottom will die because of not enough light or just the plant maturing. If it spreads to more than 1 or 2 leaves or gets worse then i would worry.

haha thanks, a friend of mine has a 300 and it hits like a 400 w hps, but obviously it isnt quite as deep penetrating and doesnt cover as much area, but im not doing a decent size field grow, it will be flowering about 2 med sized plants. The led's are exactly what id need, cool coverage for a small box. im not worried about the leaf thing at all, like you said if it spreads, then ill start panicking lol.

I have an idea of making a small scrog type circle with legs going into the soil pushing the tops out from the center... im faded, but basically a halo pushing out all tops from the stem... might be a good idea... im going to find a wire hanger and try it tomorrow... will be taking pics and loading them up around noon tomorrow... I was staring at the plants until the lights turned off and the LA is huge, the three big ones are looking fabulous, the new fem baby sluts are growing great and rearranged everything so it is more economical for the time being.

I am definitely excited to have a problem free report, and in fact, growth is better than it has ever been. Tons of bright green all over new tops, the La Con is rediculous hahaha i guess since i havent topped or lst'd it has shown some explosive growth this week. The two babies are looking promising as well. I am a very happy camper. smokin some cheese, then finishing my pc chamber in a bit... rainy day.. bored... let me know what ya tink!

Thanks dude, much appreciated. They honestly haven't looked better I feel like, or at least recently. Yeah I have a separate flowering box i got a pic of the box without lights or fans somewhere on page 2 I think. Im gonna veg them about another 5'' in height then flower them. Im also waiting on my flowering LED light.

ha thats awesome.. i got a led light my freind gave to me i always help her when she ran out of her medicine and when i told her about my grow she said i must try something with it. on the side it says voltage 110vacac+5%60hz..you know what im looking at here?

SOOOOO. AdvancedLED sent me an email telling me my light was shipped yesterday, and I should be expecting it saturday. That is some awesome news! My big babies have grown about an inch in the past two days, im loving it. I did some pruning in a couple of spots on two of them to get more light in the center area, and new lower tops... So the three big ones are either some La Con, grandaddy purp, Mindbender or goo. And they are reg seeds so i expect a couple or one to be male or hermie, so what I did was took 2 lower branches off each one and cloned them with labels. So when I start flowering them I will know which clones will be fem and they will be ready for real veg lights then, hopefully... lol So I am excited also with that. The med sized La Con is growin like a madwoman!!! starting to pop out arms in all of her arm pits. :weed:

So I checked into just the color spectrum of the panel, and they could be used to definitely assist with extra spectrum, but I wouldnt use the panel by itself for flowering at all. Maybe just for a clone chamber or seedling light it might be fine. It is only 14 watts, so I wouldn't expect it to be the only source in your veg chamber... But hell, if it was free, add it to your box LOL!

I left my camera at band practice a couple days ago, and it is a long drive. I will try and get some pics up tonight tho. Thanks for the interest man!:?

yeah i was going to but its 13" wide my cab is 11". ill find something to do with it. i can never have to many lights

I put the girls in the new box with the led on veg and bloom. you can look at the previous posts for specs on the light. the two small ones are starting to smell skunky. :)))! The big ones have really filled out and grown taller. I trimmed the fan leaves to let light reach the budding sites on the lower branches. they look good. didnt want to take them from under the led so more pics soon. the LAC is now as tall as the bushy plants and is very light green, its growing very fast.

Dude that looks nicely trimmed. How many clones did you have?

Gonna post some pics up later on, the flowering chamber looks badass. I need to get a nice vent system the box is staying mid 80's and I the plants dont like it.
