So far I haven't had any issues with smell, actually it doesn't even smell at all yet. They still smell like plant, and not weed. I'm pretty sure there won't be a very strong smell throughout the whole grow because NL is known for being low odor. Thaks for your interest!

Sounds good keep us posted on smell I am taking in a lot of info on northern lights to see what breeders have least smell. I read in another thread nirvana's stunk bad so won't be purchasing that

How did you germ your seeds, and once germed did you just drop them in to the ffof? If so, have they had any problems, the ffof can be nute heavy to some youngins.

Good evening to all! The girls have been flowering now for 15 days. They are both doing very well. Still no smell but the tops are definitely growing a lot more pistils. Mary is now 10 inches tall and Jane is a little taller at 11 inches. Now that the first 2 weeks of flowering are over I think the plants will stop stretching and put all energy now into bud production. Here are today's pictures.



A bunch of the lower fan leaves were yellowing and were developing molted dark brown spots on them. I removed all of the affected leaves and I know that the yellowing is a nitrogen deficiency but I'm unsure of what the spots are. Does anyone have any idea? Please let me know ASAP so i can fix the issue! Questions, comments and concerns are still greatly appreciated.

Good afternoon everyone. I am very pleased to say that when I was tending to the girls earlier and... I got my first smell of !!! It wasn't much, I just got a slight whiff but that means more to come!

I am still having problems with yellowing leaves and the dark spots which I still have not been able to identify but as it gets later into flowering, I'm not very worried about it. But for future reference, I still would like to know so if anyone knows, please let me know.

I will have a picture update soon in a few days.

Just another update. It is now Day 24 of flowering. Buds are forming up nicely, and the main cola on Jane is also forming well. The fan leaves are still dying and the spots are still there. Some of the stems are turning purple. I think it may be a magnesium deficiency so I have added Epsom salt to my water. I'm not sure if it is actually a magnesium deficiency so if anyone could clarify that would be great. Here's the pictures. Next update will be in about a week.

Leave a druping a bit to much as well. Over watering?

I don't think that over watering is why they are drooping. I water every 2 days and when I do water, the soil is completely dry and when I do water I let only 10-20% runoff like I have been told to do. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the spots on the leaves which I can still not determine the cause of.

As this is your first time, I bet you are very excited, I will try my first grow in a few ( just waiting the seeds arrive actually hehe ) and I am considering a CFL small room like yours for 3 plants TOPS TOPS ( and very small ). I am considering a 40 x 40 x 100 ( or 120 ) what you ( and other may give some ideas too ) think ??

Sorry I cant help on your mold, have you tried growweedeasy.com? They have good articles on diseases and stuff. Let me ask you a couple of things please man, how tall was your plant when you decided to put her into flower ? Did you take her height as a parameter ??

Also, what are those "Flowering" lights, I know CFL's have both Veg/Flower setups but I just thought that was a bunch of BS.

I personally would have LST'd. You'd get more even light distribution to the bud sites. And.....have you checked to make sure that they aren't rootbound? that could cause problems for you in those little cups

Good evening everyone. I am losing hope for these plants. They are both still losing fan leaves and at this rate they will be all gone by harvest time. Also, Jane has grown too tall and the top of her main cola is getting a bit burned so I had to take out one of the lights so she had enough space. Heres the pics. Man I just joined the thread and after studying ur case thought about Ph level of the soil? Do you measure it? How are things going now? Kinda excited, since I'm building my first autonomous growing system (with microcontroller and web-cam)to get it stealthy and totally out of reach...

I checked it awhile back and the PH of the Nutes water was about 6.8 and the regular water was about 7.5. I know that the plain water PH was a bit too high but I didnt think it was so high it could cause a problem like this. But Ill check it again. Good Evening to everyone. Hope you all are doing alright. Today marks day 47 of flowering which is about 6 and a half weeks. I have another update for the girls. Fan leaves are still dying of course but I will be able to make it until harvest so that is good news! Although I am pretty sure that the buds will be not too dense due to all the stress they have been through, I am still very satisfied with what I have accomplished and learned so far. I still need to get a microscope but I believe that they are about 2 weeks away from harvest at this point. This is just what I believe so let me know how much longer you think they'll need. And hopefully, within these remaining weeks, the buds will fatten up a bit and I won't loose too many more leaves. Ministry of Cannabis Northern Lights is very low odor! There really isn't a noticeable odor except for when I get the resin on my fingers and its a nice fruity smell. So if your looking for a low odor strain for stealth growing, I would recommend it to anyone. Haven't had any issues with hermies or spider mites yet so that is also a plus. Here's the pictures, they were taken yesterday. Enjoy and let me know how much longer you think until harvest.

I wonder what your spotting leaves are from? Have you tested pH? Is it possible they are not getting enough light? The topped plant looks awesome, you have a link of how you did the top?

What do you think your harvest will be? Looks like a ton. Any reason for not lst? Honesty I havnt seen better results than yours from lst. But I need to decide ..

I am not sure what the spots are from. But I believe that I have struggled throughout the entire grow due to too small pots, not checking the ph enough, and possibly other things I am unsure of. Yeild I am hoping for at least a quarter ounce but that is a complete guess. Hopefully it will be more. And the way I topped them was just cut the growing tip off. Its pretty self explanatory and it worked out great the first time I did it.
