if i put them in smaller pots, what about root bound? have you heard or root pruning?
Yes evetually they will root bound but they will be smaller. To unroot bound them you would take them out of the pot and slice 1/2" to 1" inch off each side of the rootball including the botom then replant with new soil to make up for the lost space. Cutting the roots like this makes the plant go back into grow mode. And i agree that fimming is a good way to go on a mother if your going to be taking alot of clones.

Keep up the good work:weed:

Instead of topping them, try a FIM, create multiple heads and then use LST to tie them down. Should keep them short and bushy. I put a rubber band around the base of my pot, then hook string under it that's tied to a branch, you can slowely pull the string through the rubber band to bring your branches down gently.

There is a product that can stunt a plants growth but I don't recall the name.
Removing lights from your mother plants will actually make them grow (stretch) more, so you'll end up with lanky, difficult to manage plants.

Not sure about the droopy leaves, did you just give them a good watering? or are they dry?

good luck, looking good :)
thanks reiss! doc111 said "GH Diamond Nectar. It is a fulvic acid supplement that also has the added benefit of slowing down vertical growth." thanks doc, reiss, i think this is the product your talking about. Also they were thirsty, and i really appreciate the concern and insight! gonna for sure try the rubber band around the pot for LST, been using a cheap rope that don't work too good!

i mean yea i pruned it and fimmed it but still that whole pot was just 1 big ass rot ball, it started pushin roots out the water holes into the ground!!
i thought the damn thing was gonna bust right outta the damn pot then id have to bust out the chainsaw and smoke alot.
its a very sweet smelling plant too. it grows huge buds with every singe spot on the stems taken up with bud sites, the only place wit hno bud site sis the woody stalk near the buttom lol, such an awesome strain, cant wait too see how it turns out indoors.

got these clones from my buddy, doesn't mean i trust him 100%. kinda getting impatient with sexing them. I know they should be all females, but it's my first time, and i gotta fear the worst. what do you guys think, or is it too early?

these are the one's that are tearing me up inside:wall::wall:
If they just hermied out because of light leak then im fine, just gonna seal it up better, (which is wierd b/c the rooms been used for flower before no problem.) but if they're really male I'll go crazy. There's for sure light leak in the veg closet that was on 18/6, but i heard light leak is only a prob in flower. or did i get sold male clones? can plants show female that are already hermie. meaning could i have already hermied these plants in veg, and they'll only show in flower? help me out guys, i need a miracle!

hey man just catching up to speed, im a little behind so bear with me.

Plants look amazing first off. first rule i use, i dont prefer to root in rockwool. personally i take that humidity dome and put a heat pad under it and i clone it peat pellets :-)
Second that plant were you topped it, deff looks male bro.
Third how many weeks are they into flower? more pics always helpful. nice grow tho.

ok so i chopped the SIX MALES in the bloom room this morning. nothing like the feelikng of cutting down a month and a half of hard work, (pulled the plant, and the roots looked amazing though!) Threw the two mothers from the veg closet in the bloom room, they look femaley, but who knows at this point, first sign of pollen sacs and they're toast!

Moving on. Went to a so cal dispensiary today, got two afgan, (or so they say), clones for $20. They're meagar and yellow, (which isn't neccesarily bad) but they had light brown roots. we'll see how these pan out. I'm getting 12 definitely legit rommulet seeds tomorrow, hoping for at least one female. These seeds are from a different source, someone who i trust like a brother, kinda like you guys on RIU.

I'm not giving up, going to new sources, ready to blow this mug! Now, the two new afgan clones, transplanted into my black pot method!
