1st timer, want to grow 15 plants. i have a room over my garage, all info inside.

I did it for storage, got some cheap metal at work for supports and poured concrete on top of old metal roofing. It would be ideal if I can get it vented to attic. I have to be careful, have one child still living at home. If not for that I would use basement. It's finished with 2 bedrooms, full bath , kitchen and living room. I have a mechanical room where furnace and breaker box is but not much room. I wonder if I grew in attic during winter and under porch during summer. That might be the solution.

I've already come up with some free bulbs. I have a 400 watt hps, several 400 watt, 50 w and 175 mh and and fixtures to hook up 220v. I've not checked lighting prices but I'd say I have knocked a lot of my price down already

free bulbs huh........lol.........anyhow...... start w your ventilation ........ u wont supplement your income w a 4in vent.....im not trying to tell u it cant be done im trying to tell u its gonna be expensive and inefficient.....

the 4" vent is already thru the roof, i have plenty of 8" round duct and also a lot of square duct. i can build anything out sheetmetal and also have a 4' wide roll of that. i few inline 8" fans should give plenty of ventilation. i started this thread to help me from having a lot of trial and error. my room in the attic can easily be hooked to my cooling duct. i know where everything is in this house because i built it myself while working full time in maintenance. then i built my parents house, 3.5 years of 7 days a week. i can do whatever it takes but like i said before im just looking for someone to help me with amount of light per space, tips with getting started, ect... i believe i will build 2 rooms inside the big room in attic, run ac duct to them and vent some heat to attic over house(attic room over garage is separated by wall) which will leave thru both gable vents and the rest out vent in roof. i can get fresh air from gable vent in garage attic. if there is someone out there that would like to help with the specifics of what i need to keep a mother going and clones flowering please feel free to jump in.

u need a space u can keep cool enough before anything else............. i dont believe you understand just how much heat it is..... u need sealed lights a fan for each ...sealed rooms and a way to keep them cool....... adding ac vents from the central air wont work.....

would growing during winter months be do-able?

depends on how many lights u run outside temps and the size of your fan........... one 600 would be gravy
