like the title says should i go with two 1ks or two 600s for a 4x8x7, also are magnumm xxl worth the extra money compared to the other air cooled reflectors?

I like the raptor hood's by hydro farm they are bigger but the Ocho's are credible reflector's as well.

You might want to consider your heat issues when using 1000's in that small of an area.
I run a 4x8x6.5 with two 600's and sometimes it can be a challenge keeping the temp down when the tent is full.
I also have a 5x5x6 that's perfect for my 1000 and raptor. Spectrum as well as temps.

1000w all the way, but the Ochos are waaayy overkill for a tent. The space is so small and since it is covered with reflective material, 2 8" cool tubes and a Can fan are all you need. "Big" reflectors are for spreading light, look at BoomerBloomer's pics to see the appropriate grow room setup for Raptors or Magnums.

His question is 1k or 2 600's. I had this same question about 2 months ago. I traded in my 1k for the 6's and it has worked out great so far. As soon as I yield ill let you know if it wad worth it. Also look into this ballast if you go with the 600's. This this is awesome.1 ballast that pushes two bulbs. i didnt think about 3 600s. thats an interesting idea. might be a little tight, i guess sog would be the way to go then? have to figure out the power and cooling. Im in an apt and use the bathroom to power ac and room for the tent. each area/room of the apt has like 2500w i believe, its a new building. i dont get how some of you guys get like 4k a room, in an apt, generator? i know its off topic but im stumped. thanks for the input definitely convinced me to stay with the smaller cheaper htg etc air cooled hoods or get cool tubes. all opinions are really appreciated. Still tough choice on the 1ks or 600s though, ive always grown taller trees than many smaller trees, but im always improving and learning new ways.

why 2 1000 watter? 1000w lights is american europeans use multiple 600w go with 3 600watter or for a more even light canopy less hot spots
