it's not about how much water u flush with ... it's about your Total Dissolved Solids in your runn off that determines if u have flushed properly...

I read a few places about reputable breeders flushing with jus plain water..not literally putting 2 gals tru but just using plain water for watering for the last 2-3 weeks..thats considered flushing 2..im far from an expert..but i think u want ur soil as dry as possible and putting all that water tru is can cause rot in the final stages but i dont think its a big deal if ur gonna harvest soon

Correct, flushing can be defined as 2 things. Watering with plain water for the last couple weeks of a plants life, done to make the plant use up all remaining nutrients and not have such a chemical taste at the end. Or using large amounts of water to wash out extra nutrients that the plant can't use and are thus burning the plant.

Why were you flushing?

Was this just before your harvest?

Was it for nute burn?

The reason there is information about flushing 3 times your pots size (for you that would be around 7gallons) is because it usually takes this amount of plain water to remove the built up salts or excess nutrients.

In answer to your question can you over water them flushing. The quick answer is yes, but only if you constantly flush on a daily basis instead of watering.

There is a big difference with flushing and over watering. Flushing is the process of running alot of water through a plant one 1 perticular day. Over watering is caused by watering every day regardless of whether you need to water or not.

So a single FLUSH will not cause overwatering. But many continual flushes will cause over watering. As will alot of frequent watering.

There is also a big debate about whether to flush using plain water or whether to use a flush additive or whether to even run a weak strength nute flush through them.
This has alot to do with osmotic pressure in the root zone falling to sharply with just plain water which could lead to problems. BUt i wont bore you with all the details. If you want to know i can tell you. Just PM me.

A friend of mine was growing 24 plants. Maybe you read his thread DANTHEBULL. He had to buy a 1000litre water tank in order to flush 12 of his girls a day it took him 2 days to flush them all . They were in 40litre pots he used 120litres per plant.
*edit* Forgot to mention he also used an old wheelie bin as a water container too lol

Personally on my latest grow i will be flushing twice. Once with flush additive and once with plain ph'd water during the space of around 7days prior to harvest.

I grow in COCO hand water and do not flush. I constantly feed and do not break the cycle of feeding. If i experience any burning i reduce the contentration. If you grow in soil you can generally use water for the last 2 weeks to do the same job as a decent flush .

If you were to use something like CANNA FLUSH you only have to use the same amount of water as your pot size.

So you add your flush additive to your 2 gallons of water
Ph it
Run it all through your pots.
when they dry out a little use plain water
then continue with feeding schedule.

$2 a gallon! Are you serious? Even "bottled" water here is around $0.80 a gallon. Tap water... $0.30 for 100 gallons! (But we also pay $0.34 a day for water and sewer service.

Some of these guys are right....You OBVIOUSLY arent flushing for your harvest since you say your only 2 mos into veg. You flush when you only TWICE the whole time onve halfway through flower and then CLEANSE 2 weeks before harvest... you should be good useing about 3 gallons of watter for two gallon pots....but YOU ONLY NEED TO FLUSH ONCE then CLEANSE before harvest. Let you 2 gal pots go about 2 days between watering (if your in soil) I havent dialed it in exactly myslef but for sure you want your dirt to be dry enough between waterings that if you were to stick your whole finger in the dirt it would be dry.... plus your Pot shape has a lot to do with it...if it is fairly evenly wide as it is tall than the above (finger test ) is true but if your ing Tall pots then you could still be real wett at the bottom of pots.... And as FAR AS SICK PLANTS GOING INTO FLOWER.....think of it like your childhood...you dont want to carry bad shit from childhoood into adulthood....sounds like your OVERWATERING>...let them dry up a bit.
