Here are my two options:

There will actually be three sets of four lights for a total of 12 CFL bulbs for a total of 32,400 lumens. Basically, the question is do I use the Home Depot metal reflectors and set them on top of a hole in the box, or do I not use the reflectors and place the lights all the way inside the box with mylar on top?

Please don't tell me to get a MH, HPS, or T5

I' under the assumption that mylar is some type of reflecting material, so my answer is based on that assumption.

If you use mylar, I recommend you use it for all sides of the box, but it looks like you only growing one plant, and if that is the case you should have enough light at 32,400 lumens and should not even need reflectors.

I would go with the cheapest.
