ive heard you should put in 2 days of darkness before drying. Anybody ever tried this? If so, is it worth it?

I have heard up to 72 hours of darkness not sure haven't ever compared any plants to each other at different times in the dark

If that’s the case, does it matter? Since I’ve read that it’s better to dry in a dark room anyway. Known what I mean?

Drying a chopped plant in the dark and leaving a live plant in the dark for X amount of hours are not the same.

If you have more then one plant maybe experiment with harvesting and the hours of darkness

After 12 hours of darkness, all the starch in the leaves will be used. There's no need to have a 72 hour or 2 day dark period. Once the leaves run out of starch, growth will mostly stop in hopes the lights come back on.
