2 days til flower. quick question..

I have 5 plants and I'm two days away from switching lights to 12/12

I have a plant that is 40 days old and much smaller than the other four. (explanation in my grow journal. check sig)

When I switch the lights to 12/12 what should I do with this one??

I would use a milk crate or small table to put the smaller one on so that your canopy is level.

Get it out of the room at lights off and put it under a fluro for a couple of hours to keep vegging.

I have a 105w 6500k cfl on the way so as soon as that gets here it'll free up my two 23w 5500k cfls. I have a y-splitter so I can separate this plant and keep vegging...

It won't grow very quick under just that though... how long should I do this??

i wouldnt keep it in veg.. makes it alot harder.. gotta take it out put it back in over and over all without stresing ur other plants. i would pop it up on a box or sumting like the above post says.then itll flower later. why not just put it in flower and use ur other cfl to use for clones?? or seeds?

Yeah.. good point. I'd hate to stress the other four in an attempt to save the 5th wheel... I'll get it higher up like everyone says.

You mention that if I keep it in the group, it will still flower.. just later. How later??
Think it would be a potential risk of being a late blooming male that surprise pollinates my further matured females?!

males will mature faster then the females so you'll know, and its not like one day your good then BAM! you have pollen.. if it does start to form balls just remove it asap to avoid any pollenation.. get it closer to the light even canopy is key, if its a girl you'll still get a decent bud off her

Can anyone explain further on the even canopy thing? Does it have to do with certain light reflection or??

Taller plants will shade the smaller ones. Thats why if u have a full tent in flower you always want the talker ones on the outside cause they can get light better then the shorter ones thats why u place in mddle.

Yeah the replies def. helped out.

Todays day 2 of flower and I just left the little one in there with the other four. They're all stretching from the 12/12 and growing nice!

Here's a little update for everyone who responded here.

Plants have been in flower for 5 days now and here's a picture of little plant E. Way smaller than my other four, but still growing.




Just for shits and giggles, here's one of my other plants, for comparison.

Here's another update. This plant turned out to be a female and is looking pretty damn nice! Getting several pistil clusters!!
