2 Female Marijuana Clones , Grown in a window sill starting to grow white hairs.

Had these clones for about 4 weeks . their about 12inchs each and beginning to grow white hairs on top of the plant, Im only growing these clones in a window and im not expecting a big yield, This is my first time growing and i need tips or suggestions thanks.

keep it fed and watered and watch out for pests... not much else to say. just watch over it, and give lots of love and food.

If you want them to start flowering (making buds) then you will need to make sure that they get at least 12 hours of total darkness every day. You want to make sure that the darkness starts and ends at the same time every day. If the plants don't start getting a 12 hour dark period, they will just keep growing taller and taller without ever making buds. You can start flowering them now, or you can grow them taller and then start flowering them. A general rule of thumb is that your plants may double in size during the flowering stage so if you start flowering now, they could get up to 2 feet tall total. Or if you waited until they were two feet tall to start flowering, then they could get up to 4 feet tall.

if you are growing on a window sill they will flower themselves when the days shorten (now) unless you put them on the sill too late. imo if you are going to use artificial lighting schedules there is no point to growing on a sill. if you are doing a true sill grow make sure to keep the window open with the screen down. they like the wind and fresh air and the screen makes it hard to see inside unless you have a light on. southern facing windows are best because they catch the sun when it's the strongest (10am-2pm). they should be rotated on a regular basis. if they are on a sill in a room that you use at night get them the hell out of there. besides the light making your plant obvious to people looking in, the light will fuck up the flowering. i used to grow on sills exclusively before i got the space to use lights. if done correctly you can combine the best of indoor and outdoor growing, sun+environmental control. they don't get as big as outdoor plants, but they can get a lot bigger than typical indoor plants if they get started early enough.
