i was just wondering , could i sea of green my plants in 2 liter pop bottles??
and another question , i live in canada .b.c . wondering if any of you guys and gals r from canada, cus id need a light , and i dont know where to get 1 with the best prices , rather use my own currency instead of sending to the states, all canadians drop me a pm , thanks , greatly appreciated

Yes, the pop bottle grow has been written up, do a search. There was one called Pot For Pennies, and others. Black plastic pots are not expensive, and you can use square ones, which fill the space better than round.
Used grow lights are available everywhere, look around.

I use 2 liters for my middle transplant. They do pretty good in the bottles. I cut the top off and poke holes in the bottoms. I almost have 100 bottles collected. I have never finished a plant in them but im sure they will do ok.

but it could be possible to do an entire grow in 2 litre bottles if you only want your plants to get say 3 feet tall? would this actually work?

i think it would work , if i start flowering at 8 inches tall, but maybe it wont , what do i know , i a newbie , hopefully it will work

I think that it would work, but not for the plants whole life. After a while the plant could get root-bound, thus possibly killing or making your plants growth growth to decrease. :joint: :weed: bongsmilie

Incandescent light bulbs are out. too much heat and not the right kind of light. get 2 of the replacement spiral flourescents, they fit in a regular light bulb socket and get the 6500 k-30watt/ 100watt. Costs about 3-7 dollars and will get you through till you need to flower, then get an HPS of applicable size,Equivalent

what the fuck! why are green horn newbies trying to anser questions?
anyways a 2 liter bottle will work fine if u want a root bound plant, it will only get so big, no make sure to allways let your top 4 inches of soil dry befor watering again, you want to make the moast out of your small 2 litter pots, in doing so the roots will push to the sides using all the dirt an not just goingdown to the bottom. you want to flower as soon as you see a 5 point leaf, an the palnt shouldnt be any biger then about 8 inches do to the size of ur pot. anyways man i hope this helps. happy growing.
p.s.
dont hear what new fucks have to say, they will kill ur plants!

the method woorks fine. I'am on my 7th crop useing pvc 3/4 inch id and 2 liter bottles. Once the plant gets 14-16 inches high I switch the lights and
feeding to grow HUGE buds. Works great in small rooms ect.

I got a q for this topic. Since plants cant use green light, will green Mountain Dew bottles be alright to use without a sheath?

the leafs don't respond to green light roots are different. They should be not
exposed to light. I cover the bottle totally to protect the roots. this method
is for hydroponics not soil based systems.

Root bound is a myth. Look at the size of plants FDD grows and look at the size of his containers. Flush your plants every 4th or 5th watering and you'll be fine. Saying the plants will only get so big doesn't make sense. The question was "Can 2 litre bottles be used in a Sea Of Green?" Yes they can.

This method works great in a hydroponics and not soil is simple.
when you look at the 2 liter bottle it necks down to about 7/8 of an inch.
with soil it will compact to a rock like texture. the water and food will just flow past unless you soak it for a LONG time. If you mix the soil with alot of perlite the fine soil pieces will block it off. I use gravel with perlit in a 2 to 1 ratio and let the plants grow to 14-16 inches then switch to red spectrum lights to promote bud growth they get to about 3 to 4 feet high with HUGE buds I get 3 to 4 ounces per plant of top grade buds. I grow 5
plants at a time every 4 months so you see it's very cost effective with little spike to the electric bill, here in the states they watch for that, I work for an electric company so I see this happen. Remember in the states
BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :peace:
