2 strains both with different problems

I have a problem with one of my blue cheese fan leaves, about 2/3 the way up. It seems to be as if someone took 2 of the fingers and screwed them up in their hand. They are flopping about whilst the rest of the leaf fingers are firm. I chopped it off prior to the pics. Any clues? image.jpgimage.jpg

Your root rot is causing that

Dont water so often has already been suggested

Do some more research and stop loving them so much. They're not your babies, they're a weed.

I water them about 2.5L every 4-5 days. Bearing in mind they are in about 10L of soil in each pot, i dont think im watering them too much? Or am i?

Cheers for the reply mate, like getting blood from a stone getting acknowledgement on here.

hmm I never had an issue with misting under HID. I foliar feed frequently (several times a week), and even when I don't feed I like to spray pH'd water on em throughout the day...I've been told multiple times by multiple growers not to do this, but my girls seem to love it...They always seem to perk up and look healthier a couple hours after a foliar feed followed by a light misting of dilluted neem oil - Maybe the big difference is using an oscillating fan. I think if you keep the leaves gently moving consistently there is never a 'hot spot' of magnified light / heat from beads of water on the leaves for longer than a couple seconds.
Dude dont do this^^^
Plants in an indoor enviroment try to release the water out of there leaves (from high heat or too much moisture) if you keep misting them its like ur sofucating them only foliar mist(feed) if ur in veg and under cfl not hps i myself never mist.

Your camera's so good i could see the damage on the lower leaves...

Could be wrong, just givin ya a heads up:)
Wow nice eyes - the camera is actually really shitty lol :D had spider mites or something similar for a week but I think they're gone now. Haven't had any new damage in a couple weeks after a neem oil bath. I was holding off on the flip until I could figure out the issue (thts why they're outgrowing the tent now :X) but it just kinda stopped so I went ahead n flipped em...that and a little nute burn to top it off, but everything appears to be back on track...Never did ID the culprit 100% - spider mites was more of a guess based on the way the damage looked and the fact that I couldn't actually see any bugs so it had 2 be something small - stopped looking into it after the damage stopped so hopefully it's been corrected...

I have a ph test kit but its the colour one and its difficult to compare to the chart. Ive stopped misting since a few days and ive lifted the light to 22 inches from 18. I have put a 7 inch fan blowing on the light from a few inches away as of tonight. Thanks for everyones help
get an electronic ph meter.

ph makes a huge difference.

i never liked the test kit and would get lazy not use.

i have both the ph meter and ppm meter

i don't mind doing ph now.

and it shows in my plants!

Idk man I've been looking through hundreds of images of deficiencies and pests, etc and really can't tell what's causing the twisted growth / dark spots... maybe the naked chick is throwing me off

You have thrips
is that what that damage is?

i just had spider mites for the first time in 3 years.

when we grow indoors where the heck do these creatures come from?

i had damage like that and was wondering what the heck it was.

i've switched from soil to hempy dtw last round, too.

Yeah, thrips. Not near as damaging as spidermites, and neem oil is the way to go. So nice one!;)

Yeah look up thrips, not a huge deal. Neem oil kills em (or at least keeps them at bay)

Im not sure how they get in... Maybe they show up on products we buy from the hydro shop? That's the only plausible explanation for my situation...

Showed up after 2 years....

At least they dont like trichomes:bigjoint:
