2 weeks old. Problem!!

Hey guys sorry for posting so soon again but i noticed this morning that my leaves have gotten worse. do any of you know what might be up?

I just watered yesterday, and my last post has all my info on what I use to grow.

Could it be gnats or another type of mite, because the spots are shiny rust color.

Could be water drops burn. Could be nute burn. Could be your soil is too much for them. What kind of soil?

He's using MG MC soil. He said this in another Thread yesterday.

This is my take; I've grown with MG MC Soil for a couple of years now, with success. First, what is the string for? IMO, I believe you are over-watering the plant and the time released nitrogen or other imbedded nutes are affecting your grow in a negative way. Back off on watering, only using a sprayer at this point. You can spray the plant and surrounding soil until its slightly drenched, WHEN its time to water. Let that soil get nice and dry, to almost a hard crust on the top.

I tried growing in mg and its too unforgiving for me. If guitar Mans doing it successfully listen to him.

Thanks, Guccizillaa. MG can be fiesty to use. One thing that is amazing about this soil; you don't need nutes until flowering. The plants I've grown using this soil have done well, and currently I have 2 plants that look absoutely incredible!! I'm 4 weeks into flowering, using UB's special topping technique (found in the Advanced MJ growing page on RUI). Also, I recommend using MG nutes during flowering because MG has defined the nutes for their own soil. You can use others, but blending them in during the right times can cause frustration. I do use Organic Blackstrapp Molasses during the last 4 weeks of flowering, but nothing else accept MG Bloom Booster.

Thank you, Been feeding the plants 2 cups of tap water every 4-5 day when soil is dry. I have the fox farm tiger bloom nutes. can i use that for flowering?

also i started LST yesterday and so far it looks healthy.

the new growth looks good. watch the watering and nutes and u should be ok. at that young age i wouldn't soak the the entire pot. as stated above about using a spray bottle for misting the soil directly around the plant stem. GL

In my research, which includes this Forum, when using MG Soil you will be better off using their blend of nutes. This does make sense, as the company who made the soil has done the research for what works for that soil. I have also proven this, using MG's Bloom Booster during flowering. When things start to tighten up with my buds, which is starting to happen right now with my grow, I'm getting ready to add Blackstrap Molasses into the regime.

guitarman, i would think, (dont take my advice op, because im not sure) but i would think that if the op flushed his soil before flowering real good to get rid of most of the left over nutes and salt build up. He should be fine with feeding his plants the fox farm nutes because the soil would be like "new" and mostly free from its original nutes.

Therefore, he shoudltn have to worry about over feeding his plant nutes if going by the fox farm nute directions that come with the nutes.

This is where i got lost with mg, the bags all say feeds up to 3 months, and a veg stage is nowhere 3 months. I felt like if i woulda kept my plants in mg during flower i would have misjudged how many nutrients were left in the medium. And of course with mg you cant flush the nutrients out because watering them is how you release the time release nutrients. How do you figure out how much nutrients you need to add come flower? Or do you just start super low str?

Problem being though you can't flush nutrients out of mg without burning the fuck out of your plant. The time release nutrients are released via watering.

That's exactly why I use MG Bloom Booster for flowering. Just follow the instructions and let them grow. I've messed around with this Nute combination, adding a little extra, thinking the plant would do better; WRONG!!! The box clearly states, use the indoor scoop and don't use more than required. Remember, with growing MJ, "Less is MORE." MG knows there are time released nutes in the soil, so their product is meant for this soil. Someone else on this Forum brought this subject up, and too me, it made total sense to stick with nutes designed for the soil I'm using.

Another thing I've noticed on this Forum, growers complain about having little to no nitrogen in their nute mixture for flowering, but MG Bloom Booster has nitrogen in the mix.

I read your other post about flushing, and you are correct. Flushing this soil won't do anything but release the nutes. Out of 3 grows and 9 plants, I've never needed to flush this soil. IMO, people seem to try to hard with MG instead of just letting the soil do its own thing. Don't water too much, and NO NUTES UNTIL FLOWERING!

I also don't recommend watering till water is pouring out of the bottom of your pot/grow bag. Water until soaked, and slightly coming out of the bottom drain holes, or if you are using Smart Pots like I am, I just make sure the bottom of the bag is wet, with only a few drips. Over watering will drain all of the "Goodies" out of the soil, and I want all of the Goodies to make into my plant(s).

Like chicka said, you can't flush this soil without releasing more nutes. But, I've never had to flush MG MC soil and I'm extremely careful with adding Nutes. I explained in my above post as to why I use MG nutes instead of others.
