I'm growing several different strain, they're almost 2 weeks old in pots of 2.2 liters , plain potting soil unfertilized 70% mixed with perlite 20% and vermiculite 10% , 2nd watering i mixed rhizotonic with the R/O water room temperature 24C humidity 50-65% under a cfl and a 600watts MH power on 75%
the growth seems to me a bit slow I'm not sure why, I'm quite new to the growing, it's my 2nd grow, one of the strain the (tangerine dream) the tips of her 2nd pair of leaves is are turing orange/yellowish, does it mean i should start feeding them ASAP? i cant water them anytime before 2 days from now otherwise i might over-water them, here's some pics i took, hopefully you can analyze the problemtangerinedream2.jpgtangerinedream.jpg

OK, I will tell you right now, I am not an expert on indoor growing, just now on my first indoor grow. I am, however, an experienced gardener so I have a good deal of experience growing annual crops in dirt. My best guess would be that you need to begin giving the plants some nutrients. Your soil probably has very little or no nutrient content and those plants are making their first true leaves, which means they want to do photosynthesis. This requires nutrients. I would suggest beginning with a dilute solution of whatever you plan to use, maybe 1/4 the recommended strength. If they respond well to that, you may want to up the concentration next time round, but be careful not to over do the nutrients. It is always better to under feed than to over feed in my opinion. The plants won't reach their full potential if you under feed, but you won't kill them as you might with over feeding. Also, in your zeal to get these guys growing, be careful not to keep them too wet. They will still need to get almost dry in the root zone before you water/feed again. Hope this helps.

Actually they still don't require any feeding the cotyledon or seedling leaves would have been becoming consumed by the plant to feed itself what is happening here most likely a is nutrient burn or burn from heat 600w is a lot of light for seedling and can become ttoo intense and aactually burn your seedlings, what's the distance from the MH to the seedling.

You really don't need to give your plants any nutrients in the seedling stage, unless it's like 1-2 weeks away from veg.
I would wait a few weeks into the grow before I start feeding if I were you, I haven't done many grows but I just don't think it's necessary at all...

My reason for suggesting a dilute nutrient feed is because he said that his soil didn't have any fertilizer in it and if these guys are trying to grow they need nutrients. I will, however, defer to those with more experience in growing indoors and retract my suggestion to fertilize.
