2 x 900 LED Grow Journal

Here is a grow journal. Enjoy.

I am bad at the internet so please let me know if pics or format is all fucked up.

These ladies have already had one week to root up in the clay.

Just a few picks of a DIY trellis. Also replaced shitty DIY irrigation halos for spray emitters with far better coverage and hopefully massive roots. Cycle timer is set for a 15 min feeding every 3 hours of "daylight".

First signs of trouble. Still using LEDs the color is from CFL worklight. LEDs are weird to work around.

Leaves are canoeing up. Growth is slow. Roots are white. Most likely culprit is the reservoir.

Gross. Brown Algae. Count on recent sprayer change on coupled with no H2O2 and over fertilization.

A water change, good cleaning, and better general maintenance should be the simple fix.

I hope u get the problems all sorted out . Is this your first time using this whole system ? How often do you change out the res?

Hi Oscar

Still working on it. It seems to be only one res causing trouble. This is the second time this set up was used. The first time was meh. There was no Scrog and it really took a chunk out of the yield. Buds close to the lamp were awesome, but any distance over 6-8" was all "popcorn".

Never one to talk trash on a fertilizer company, This is also the first time advanced nutrients has been in the mix. Using the PH Perfect line is real hands off stuff, just put the mix in and leave the PH/ec meter out. Its a real "trust us not your expensive meters" situation........so it will take some getting accustomed to. Good thing I have medicine for anxiety. bongsmilie.

The reservoir is changed weekly as per instructions. Top off with 1/2 strength base nutrients. NO PH UP/DOWN!!!

Gave plants a B vitamin foliar feeding after lights out the other day and it seems to have helped a bit. After super cleaning, meaning used bleach to clean EVERYTHING except drain table, which was scrubbed and wiped down with H2O2 solution. There is no buildup or floaters, and much less silt from clay pellets. Still fighting a unknown problem in Strawberry Haze res. They still look week and very stringy even for a sativa. After speaking with AdvNut tech support they suggested that there may be a pathogen problem. His recommendation, keep with the program and keep res temps below 70. Grrrrrrrr. I'd give my wife's left arm for a Botany PhD right now.

The Sour Jack on the other hand seems to be doing well. Far more stubby than expected, mom seemed stretchier(its a word). Topping seemed to be the right thing to do, so it got did. There will be plenty of time to grow them out while the Strawberry gets fixed and fills up their screens.

Just got some photos with out LEDs.

Strawberry Haze. They look like they are getting better? Yes, No? That little sad one might get put down. Topped some of the faster growers the other day added stress may have caused some of the problems.

Sour Jack. Just topped today. Looking better, but trunk and leaf stems still very purple.
