Both plants were flushed today with 15-20 litres of water as the new growth was still acting up. This time it was done with a jug and not a hose. They were then fed 400ml of full strength nutes as excess water drained out the pots after the flush. Will wait for the pots to feel light again before next feeding.
While cleaning the cupboard i broke one of the intake fans, will buy a new one tomorrow. Will have to be a passive intake for tonight.
Jane is still stretching and has reached 34inches now, Mary is about 31.
Buds are starting to grow now with a lot of pistils appearing.
Lights off temp 28C, lights on temp 31C.
Today i finally got round to ducting the second extractor into the exhaust duct coming from the RVK. Hopefully the smell should now be contained in the cupboard.
Lights were again moved up today a couple inches.

Plants weren't fed anything today as the pots still felt relatively heavy and wet.
Intake fan was replaced today.
Jane has now grown to 37" (3ft 1inch) and Mary is still around 31inches. Hoping Jane stops growing soon because at the moment i consider her to be the perfect height.
Cooler day, cooler temperatures. Lights off without the intake fan 28C, lights on with intake fan 27C.
A lot of new growth can be seen, plants are getting taller as well as bushier, and the buds are growing a noticeable amount each day.
Lights have again been raised and are now at their full height. If extra room is required i'll have to remove the shelfing the pots are currently sitting on.
The new growth hasn't yet corrected itself and is still growing awkwardly on the top of Mary. I'm now starting to think this is a permanent deformation, but just as a precaution i will allow the pots to dry out completely and flush once more, using the same technique as last time.

Pots were quite light today so were fed a mix of nutrients and fresh water, 400ml of nutes and 100ml of water from ontop and 200ml of plain water followed by 100ml of nutes from below.
Last weeks feeding schedule contained too many feedings which then required a flush, which hasn't really seemed to fix my problems, so i'll feed the plants less nutrients this week and flush again on Friday or something. Every other feeding will now be approximately a litre of water. I will continue to water from on top and below.
I think the curling growth on top of Mary will stay curled, as it hasn't sorted itself out. However the brand new leaves starting to come through look fine so hopefully new growth from now on should be normal.
Jane has grown again to 39inches and Mary has nearly stopped growing in height.
Out of the 2 plants Mary seems to be smelling more and the buds that are developing seem slightly ahead of Jane. I can only think this is because Mary has stopped stretching where-as Jane still is.
Cooler temperatures mean the lights on/off temperatures are nearly the same, varying between 26-28C throughout different parts of day/night.

Pots felt very light today so i gave each plant a litre of water from on top and 300ml of water from below.
Jane is still growing and has reached 40inches. I'm running out of height and tomorrow if she has grown even another inch i will have to cut the legs of the wooden shelving thing the pots are currently sitting on by a couple of inches as the light is now as its full height. I could remove it completely but then i wouldn't be able to place the fans under the pots blowing the fresh air up towards the extractors. Mary has pretty much stopped growing i think.
Temperatures were roughly the same as previous days.
This week i'm hoping the plants stop growing in size and the buds start growing faster. The past week has seen A LOT of growth.

Plants were fed a mix of nutrients and fresh water, 400ml of nutes and 100ml of water from ontop and 200ml of plain water followed by 100ml of nutes from below.
Legs of the shelving were cut down by around 3 inches, however Jane has grown to 42" and Mary to 33", meaning the plants were lowered by only an inch. Due to the length of the ducting from the RVK to the reflector, the suction of the RVK is severely reduced, meaning not as much heat is being vented out of the reflector. I'm considering upgrading the RVK, and using the current one as an intake fan. As a last resort i'll remove the shelving although if i do this it makes positioning the fans difficult due to the fact the pots have to be positioned in just the right place for them to sit comfortably in the cupboard without squashing too many leaves/branches.
Lights off temp 25C, lights on temp 27C.

Pots felt very light so gave each plant a litre of water from on top and 300ml from below.
Bought a 4" inline fan to attach to the open end of the reflector, hoping it would cool the bulb a little and blow the air towards the extractor ducting, as suction was weak due to bends and length of duct (see picture). I did want a 5" one, but they were discontinued.
Jane has grown another inch to reach 43inches now, Mary has stopped at 33inches.
Tomorrows feeding will contain extra potassium and phosphorus supplements, something i'm meant to start half way through flowering. Although i'm not quite half way through yet, its meant to help with the budding, which has already started so figured it cant do much harm.
Some fan leaves were clipped off today. This is because they were damaged, and were preventing a lot of light from reaching lower parts of the plants. They were cut off the bottom 3rd of the plant so not a lot of useful leaf has been removed.
There is some browning appearing on the base of the veins of the upper fan leaves on Jane, have no idea what this is but it hasn't proved to be problematic so far so will ignore it for now (see pictures)

Buds are starting to grow slightly now. Jane has nearly stopped stretching, grew about half an inch over the last day. Mary pretty much stopped a few days ago and hence she's slightly ahead of Jane in terms of budding, only by a day or 2.
Again pots felt very light, and were given a fresh mix of nutes, this time containing "phosphorus plus". Each plant was fed 400ml of nutes and 200ml of water from on top, and 100ml of nutes and 200ml of water from below. I've pretty much started to feed based on the weights of the pot each day. As i only feed the plants 900ml one day and 1300ml the next, the pots always feel especially light before their plain water feeding. This schedule has proved to show no signs of under/over feeding, in comparison to my last schedule of feed feed water, which resulted in the top leaves curling down (over feeding).
Ive decided to keep Jane on the left of the cupboard from now on nearer all the fresh air intakes and extractors as its probably every so slightly cooler here and the top of the plant is exposed to less heat, due to the position/orientation of the bulb. The inline fan does seem to be helping slightly, although i'll probably use it as an intake fan in the future.

Mary has now reached 34inches and Jane has grown about half an inch reaching 44inches.
Jane's pot felt extremely light in comparison to Mary's, not sure why, maybe its because of the size of Jane, therefore she's taking up more water. Each plant was given 1litre of water from above and 300ml from below. Next week i'll up the nutrients slightly, just to compensate for the weeks growth.
The curling leaves on Mary have pretty much fully recovered with the odd exception. It was definitely due to too much nutes.
Both plants are getting bushier by the day, and its becoming increasingly difficult to fit them both in after watering. Some leaves are having to be pushed up against the side to the point where they're vertical, which i'm not too happy about as it means they can absorb less light. However every time i put the plants back in the cupboard i ensure no leaves are covering bud sights to ensure they can receive maximum light.
First signs of "frost" are beginning to appear on the leaves around the buds (see pictures). Looking forward to this developing over the next week.
Apparently we had the hottest day of the year today. As a result lights off temp were 29C and lights on temp is currently also 29C.

Both plants grew about half an inch overnight from what i can tell. At the moment there are no signs of heat stress on the top of Jane, the day she shows some signs of stress i'll take action, but until then will let her grow. It's day 27 of flowering, i think if she's still growing by day 30 i'll be forced to lower the pots.
Each plant was quite thirsty today with another very hot day. Each was fed 400ml of nutrient water followed by 100ml of water from ontop and 200ml of plain water followed by 150ml of nutes from below.
Lights off temp was 29-30C, lights on is currently 29C.
The frosting on Mary seems to be developing slowly but surely, still no clear signs on Jane, further evidence that she's lagging behind slightly in terms of development.
Again it was a struggle to fit both plants in. The reason i take them out now is to water them evenly, as i wont be able to reach round to the back of the pots without taking them out of the cupboard.
Couple yellowing sets of leaves were trimmed off the bottom of both plants today. Old growth.

Buds on both plants have grown nicely over the last 24hrs and neither plants have really grown in height. Now they've stopped growing, this week the buds should start packing on weight. Mary is frosting quite nicely now, with the trichomes appearing all around the buds. Doesn't show too well in pictures. Jane's progress is about a day behind.
Jane's main cola seems to be growing larger and better than Mary's, probably because its a good 10inches closer to the light.
Each plant was watered with 1litre from above and 300ml from below.
Temperatures same as yesterday.

Growth seems good, with the buds growing a noticeable amount each day. Jane's final height will depend on the size of the top cola, as i think the plants have stopped stretching now. Waiting for the bud growth to explode, but feel i might have to wait a couple of weeks still.
Upped the nutrients slightly, giving each plant 500ml of full strength nutes followed by a mix of 100ml full strength nutes and 150ml of water, and then 200ml of nutes followed by 200ml of water from below. Total feed was 1.15L. If the pots are feeling as light as they have been recently at lights on tomorrow, i'll slowly increase this volume over the next week or 2, whilst at the same time changing the ratio of nutes to fresh water (more nutes).
This week should be much cooler outside which will mean cooler temperatures inside the cupboard.
Mary is starting to smell slightly lemony.
I created a little camera strip of photo's taken a week apart, to show the growth of the plants over the past 10 weeks or so. The first 5 photo's are of the veg stage, the rest are flowering. Plants were fed 1Litre of water from above and 300ml of water from below.
Old fan leaves of Jane about 2/3 down the plant are yellowing slightly. I'm only talking about 2 fan leaves here so the rest of the plant is in perfect health. I'm thinking this is just due to them being old leaves.
Further frosting can be seen on Mary, I've tried to take pictures of some of the buds.
Jane has now reached a height of 46inches, nearly 4ft. No signs of heat stress yet, and from what i can tell the top of plant is hardly getting any heat from the reflector so i don't think her growth is going to be a problem anymore, unless she grows past the light.
Much cooler today, with lights off temp 25C and lights on temp 26C.

Each plant was fed 550ml of full strength nutes followed by a mix of 150ml full strength nutes and 150ml of water, and then 250ml of nutes followed by 150ml of water from below.
Jane is now reaching 47inches.
Lights off temp 26C, lights on temp 25C.
Buds are growing slowly, but they're growing.

Plants were fed 1Litre of water from above and 300ml of water from below, however neither sucked up all the water from the plate. Both pots did feel quite heavy before watering so i might just let them dry out a bit now. No signs of over-watering though.
Lights off temp 23C, lights on temp 24C.
Tomorrow i think i'll tie thin rings of thread around the plants to keep them more compact and stop the leaves pushing up against the sides of the cupboard. Will also make arranging the plants in the cupboard easier.
Buds are growing in length quite nicely.

Spent a good hour today tying down the plants with sewing thread. This was to stop leaves pushing up against the side of the cupboard, and so that i could ensure the main bud sights were receiving the maximum amount of light without getting shaded by other bud sites or leaves. The pictures taken outside of the cupboard were taken after the plants had been tied down. It seems to have worked quite well, reducing the overall footprint of the plants just enough so they can now fit comfortably in the cupboard without getting squashed. Some fan leaves were clipped to allow more light penetration.
Plants were not watered today as the pots still felt relatively heavy after yesterday's thorough watering. I will let the pots dry out a bit more and give them a good watering tomorrow. I want to try and change the feeding schedule so i only need to water the plants every other day, as appose to everyday like i have been doing for the past couple of weeks.
The lighting schedule has changed slightly over the week, as now i have a 13hr dark period. I did this because i am under the impression the dark periods are more important than the light periods in this stage of the growth. Also i hope this will slightly reduce the time taken for the plants to mature.
Jane is now officially 4ft tall, and Mary is 36inches.
Tried taking pictures of the developing main cola's on each plant. Whilst Jane's is looking longer overall, its slightly patchy in comparison to Mary's which seems to have grown more. Hopefully Jane's will fill up the gaps over the next 2 weeks and end up being a beast.

Fed each plant 500ml of full strength nutes followed by a mix of 100ml full strength nutes and 150ml of water, and then 200ml of nutes followed by 200ml of water from below. Both pots were a good weight before being fed, and took the full feeding with ease. The next feeding of nutes i'll probably use the amounts i used on the 14th, its only another 100ml in total but it contains more nutrients which i think the plants are asking for as the bottom of the plants are starting to look slightly yellow. I'll see how they are tomorrow and might give them another nutrient feeding as appose to plain water for their next watering.
Again buds are looking nice and healthy, some are starting to get a little longer, this stage last week they were barely tops, so they're growing well. I think Mary is starting to get a little more ahead of Jane in terms of budding, i can only put this down to the fact that Jane continued to grow after Mary had stopped so the energy went into stretching and not developing the buds.
Lights off temp 25C, lights on temp 25C.
From what i can tell Jane is still growing, still waiting for her to stop. I have a feeling i'll have to harvest Mary a week before Jane.

Plants were not watered today as i didn't think the pots felt light enough. Also i wanted to implement the every other day feeding schedule. Hopefully the plants will adapt to this. If i see any unhealthy signs, i'll just go back to my standard watering schedule of everyday, alternating between nutrients and fresh water.
Still waiting for Jane to fill up her main cola, this is how i can judge the bud growth more effectively, by the gaps in her main cola.
Mary is looking more and more frosty by the day, her buds are larger than Jane's at the moment although i'm sure that will change soon.
Some leaves were trimmed off today from the bottom of Jane, however this was fairly minimal.
Leaf margins on the top few leaves of Jane are starting to curl downwards a little, trying to minimize water loss. I can only assume this is due to the heat from the reflector. Although there is only an inch between the very top of Jane and the glass sheet, its not scorching the leaves at all, and if i tie Jane's stem so she leans slightly to the left, the amount of light reaching the left leaves on the main cola is severely reduced, so i want to avoid tying the main stalk.

Good looking setup man! Those buds should be pretty quality smoke when its all said and done.
Just keep an eye on that bud growing super close to the light. It'll surely get bigger, and you don't want it to fry in the heat. Play around with different options, but I would (if the light can't be raised anymore) probably train the plant to lean one way or another. I put bamboo sticks in the side of the pot, and angle the plant over and tie it to the stick.
Just a suggestion, looks good though, keep it up!

Both pots were very light today, so were given a big feeding of 600ml of nutes, followed by 150ml of nutes mixed with 150ml of fresh water. From underneath each plant was fed 300ml of nutrients.
Yellowing has began to develop on Jane Previously this has been down to a lack of nutes, however after todays feeding (which i realise is a lot of nutes for 1 feeding) if the problem becomes more severe i'll flush the plants and let them dry out, and see if this helps. Probably should have flushed them at the beginning of the week anyway. I believe an occassional flush is always a good thing to do.
Both plants have pretty much stopped growing in height, and Mary's buds are growing nicely.
I checked the exhaust duct today to ensure it was clear and had a good airflow to find dust and dirt had partially blocked the end. This would have reduced the airflow and meant the heat extraction was less efficient. The mesh was cleaned and put back in place. I'll now have to check it once a week to ensure its not blocked.
Temps 26C lights off, 28C lights on.
Not too many pictures today as camera battery was low.
Looking for an explosion in bud growth between now and the middle of next week.

Plants were fully flushed today with 15+ litres of fresh warm water. This is due to the yellowing that has appeared and begun to spread on Jane. On Mary, the plants are starting to show signs of over-feeding, however it is quite subtle. Everytime i've flushed the plants in the past its seemed to sort everything out, and the plants have always looked healthier the next day. This time when flushing, the run-off was a strong amber colour. I flushed until the run-off was a much much lighter colour. I wanted to leave some nutrients behind so didnt flush till the run-off was completely clear. Guess the new feeding schedule was far too much, will revert back to the old one and flush the plants every week or 2.
Leaves were trimmed off Jane, mostly at the bottom. One or 2 leaves were trimmed off the middle part of the plant. See pictures and compare bottom foliage of both plants. 1 or 2 leaves were trimmed off Mary but hardly anything.
Mary is starting to smell amazing, and is frosting nicely, shimmering under the HID. Jane is still behind in terms of trichome production but hopefully will get there by the end of the week. Whilst Mary's main cola seems to be growing noticeably fatter, Jane's is not, which i can only put down to over feeding (as she's stopped stretching), even though both plants have been fed the same amounts consistently. Guess time will tell.
Lack of daily updates recently is due to new job having me working silly hours, i'll try and keep this up to date, if not, will write down daily observations and update this on the weekends or something.
Appreciate the suggestion KingIV20, but as i said i want to ensure the top of Jane receives the maximum amount of light possible. Angling the plant away from the light puts the top left leaves of the main cola in probably the darkest part of the cupboard, an area that receives no direct light from the HPS, only what is reflected off the sides and top. As i said if the leaves start to show more severe signs of stress over the next couple days i'll have to rethink what i'm going to do. I might remove the bottom shelving and reposition the fans, although this means lowering Mary also which i don't want to do.

Pots were still very heavy today so did not water and will check tomorrow to see if they need a watering. If they do this feed will be with nutrients as i probably should've fed them a small dose just after flushing, which i didn't do.
No real growth to report on, I'm guessing this is because the plant is recovering from the past couple days, the roots must've been suffering a lot in such a high nutrient environment.
Trichomes production on Mary is increasing once again, with the plant becoming more shimmery every day. Jane is slowly getting there, with a lot of frosting around the top of the plant. I'm hoping the flush will kick start her growth/maturing again.
On close inspection, some of the pistils are starting to turn amber. This is very small percentage of them at the moment, maybe 5%. I'm taking it this is a sign the plants are maturing nicely. I hope this has nothing to do with last weeks over feeding. Ideally i wanted the buds to be bigger before the pistils started to turn amber, hopefully while they're ambering the buds will continue to swell.
The plants themselves aren't stinking just yet, but if you wipe your finger over the top of the leaves (over the trichomes) and smell your finger.... the smell is unbelievably strong and lemony, one of the most potent skunk smells I've experienced.
Again not too many pictures as camera battery was low. Also these pictures have been taken before the HPS came on. The main cola's can be seen quite clearly. Notice the gaps in Jane's.

Pots still felt relatively heavy today so i didn't water. From what i can see both plants have responded very well to the flushing, with the buds growing nicely overnight. See the pictures for close ups. Jane's cola has grown a lot and has filled in the gaps that could be seen. She's starting to fatten up nicely, however still growing in size, therefore height. I have a feeling tomorrow i'll be forced to change something.
From what i can see the yellowing has stopped completely, tomorrow i'll feed the plants but less than previously.
Temperatures have been between 23C and 26C with the cooler.
First half of the pictures are of Jane, second half Mary. The 4th picture from last is one to see.

Both plants were fed today, 400ml of nutes mixed with 200ml of water from on top, and 100ml of nutrients followed by 200ml of water from underneath. Due to my room being pretty cool the feeding water turned out to be quite cool, definitely not as warm as i'd like. I hope this doesn't shock the roots.
2 Big fan leaves were trimmed off Jane today because they were yellowing. After trimming the plant suddenly looked a lot more airy.
The main cola on Jane had pretty much reached the glass, so i was forced to remove the wooden shelving. After wiping the base of the cupboard with a disinfectant and antibacterial liquid, both plants were raised, Jane on top of small 1 inch spacers, and Mary on top of empty coke bottles. This actually turned out to work very well, as i can position the fans similarly to how they were before, and due to Mary's branches being raised above Jane's, both plants fit comfortably inside without one Mary's foliage over shadowing Jane anywhere. Mary is pretty much at exactly the same height she was before.
Jane's main cola also began to bend towards the light, so to straighten her out i turned the plants round so she'd now bend back towards the light overnight.
Cool day so temps between 23C and 25C.

Pots were quite light today so i fed them each 600ml of water from above and 200ml from below.
Slowly more pistils are starting to turn amber. The majority of the pistils that are changing colour are towards the bottom of the plants, however one or two buds further up are also starting to mature.
Don't know how well it shows in the pictures but the buds are fattening up everyday now, with Mary still looking a lot more frostier than Jane.
Temps ranging between 24-27C.
Some leave are starting to yellow a little at the bottom of Jane but i think this is just due to it being old growth. I'll leave them on until they're really yellow and the pick them off.
I tried changing the orientation of the pots, to maybe give the smaller buds a chance to grow in more light, however the plants didn't fit as well in the cupboard when arranged differently, so i positioned them back as they were yesterday.

Both plants were fed today, 400ml of nutes mixed with 200ml of water from on top, and 100ml of nutrients followed by 200ml of water from underneath. They seem to be thriving on these measurements of nutrients and water, and will probably continue with this feeding schedule until i begin to flush them both in around 2-3 weeks.
Both plants are starting to frost a lot, with trichome production properly taking off on Mary. Ive never seen anything like how Mary is starting to look. The buds are glistening in the light, and if it continue's like its going, the buds are going to be dripping with trichomes by harvest time. See the pictures if you want to see what i mean. This must be the start of the final growth spurt.
Temperatures were kept between 24C and 27C throughout the day.
Jane's main cola is starting to slowly straighten up, i think.

Both plants were fed 600ml of water from above and 200ml from below. Each day the pots are feeling very light, although to the best of my knowledge they aren't showing signs of under watering, i hope i'm not limiting the growth of the buds by not saturating the soil enough. At first signs of stress if i see any i'll probably up the water but keep the same level of nutes.
They are slowly starting to smell more and the buds and leaves are becoming proper sticky.
Hoping for 1 last growth spurt this week, will either flush from next Monday onwards or the following Monday.
All close up pictures of buds got deleted from my computer due to a "fatal error", but will take some tomorrow.
More pistils are changing colour to orange/amber.

Both plants were fed today, 400ml of nutes mixed with 200ml of water from on top, and 100ml of nutrients followed by 200ml of water from underneath.
Few leaves were trimmed off the bottom of both plants today due to slight yellowing.
The tiny buds at the bottom of the plants aren't really growing at all, each pistil is bigger than the buds in terms of length, so i'm not sure whether i should just cut these branches off so the plant redirects more energy to the bigger buds. These small buds will yield so little i think its a waste of energy.
More and more pistils are slowly turning amber on Mary, with some quite far up the plant. Jane's is too, but is behind by a couple days or more. Most colour changing pistils are on the bottom buds of hers.

Both plants were fed 600ml of water from above and 200ml from below. The pots have a pretty good weight these days everyday on lights on. Don't know if its to do with the cooler weather and therefore cooler cupboard, but i'm going to keep the feeding schedule as it is.
One or two leaves were removed from both plants.
Both are growing nicely but no real changes to comment on.
Pictures show the developing pistils. First half of pictures is Jane, second half Mary. Both cola's are fattening up.

Both plants were fed today, 400ml of nutes mixed with 200ml of water from on top, and 100ml of nutrients followed by 200ml of water from underneath.
Again more small leaves were trimmed off the lower parts of the plants. At the moment i'm not thinking anything of it as from what i understand some yellowing is normal during the later stages of flowering.
The buds are slowly fattening up with more and more pistils turning red/brown. From what i can tell Mary is around a week ahead of Jane in terms of development.
A branch on Mary had to be tied to another one. This is because it was pushed up against the side of the cupboard and as it grew in length to reach the light it didn't have the strength to support itself completely. It felt loose and flimsy in comparison to other branches so i tied her to a stronger one.

Both plants were fed 600ml of water from above and 200ml from below
Jane is starting to frost more but still no where near as much as Mary. (less frosty pictures are Jane - you can tell)
Pistils on the main cola of Mary have begun to turn brown/red, where-as on Jane they havn't.
The tips of one or two leaves on Jane have turned black (see pictures). Not sure why yet buts its only happened on a few leaves so will wait and see if it develops before taking action.
The top leaves on Jane seem to be showing some signs of heat stress (edges of leaves curling up slightly), however there really is nothing i can do about this, as the light cant be moved up and the pots cant be lowered. I'd much rather have both fans blowing from the bottom up, so don't want to reposition one fan to blow over the main cola of Jane. She doesn't look like she's suffering, so i'm going to leave her as she is and see how she copes over the next few days.
Some leaves at the bottom of the Mary have started to curl down, like a hook, see last couple pictures.

Both plants were fed today, 400ml of nutes mixed with 200ml of water from on top, and 100ml of nutrients followed by 200ml of water from underneath.
Ive begun to leave the yellowing leaves on, I've realised it cant do much harm. Also, if the yellowing is not due to deficiencies or nute block or anything, then i'm assuming the plants are using up the leaves for whatever they need them for. The stems on these yellowing leaves are still strong.
Buds are continuing to grow well, i think they're starting to swell. I'd estimate about 30% of the pistils on Mary's lower buds have turned brown, with the pistils on the main cola just starting to colour. Jane's main cola hasn't started to change colour yet.
The stressed leaves seem to be coping, with their condition not really deteriorating at all.
The pictures today were taken with a much better camera, and you can really see the trichomes coverage quite well. (see the second last one)

Both plants were fed 600ml of water from above and 200ml from below.
Jane now stands at 50inches and Mary at around 40inches.
Plants are starting to smell more, not stinky yet, but getting there.
As its only day 50 of flowering (end of week 7) Ive decided to keep feeding the plants for another week. Throughout the grow I've fed both plants exactly the same quantities, however i think next week i might have to start flushing Mary, and continue to feed Jane for a little longer as her development is behind. I'm not necessarily trying to grow the strongest stuff here, i'm more interested in the taste of this bud, therefore i don't mind letting these plants degrade in THC content a little bit if the taste is improved. The lighting was switched to 13 off, 11 on in an attempt to make the plants mature quicker, therefore im guessing it should only take them 10 weeks to mature fully, so i'll begin flushing at week 9 and continue to the end of week 10. With Jane i'll begin flushing at the start of week 10 and continue till the end of week 11 and see how she is.

Today each plant was fed 400ml of nutes mixed with 300ml of water from on top, and 100ml of nutes followed by 250ml of water. This week i slowly want to dilute the nutes a little for 2 reasons, firstly to gear them up for the 2 weeks of flushing i'll soon start them on, and secondly to see how they cope with a slightly more diluted mix of nutes (see if it helps or increases the yellowing leaves)
Lights off temperatures around 25C, lights on around 27C.
Ive switched the 2 fans at the bottom to their highest settings in an attempt to blow more air over the main cola's on each. I'm hoping the leaves will stop curling but i don't know if this will work.
More leaves seem to be sprouting from the buds...i think.

Each plant was fed 700ml of water from above and 250ml of water from below. I increased the amount of water fed to the plants because whenever it comes to feeding the plants nutrients they always feel light. When fed nutrients the plants get a total of just over a litre of liquid, and when just watered they’ve been getting around 800ml.
Temperatures are between 24-26C.
Some leaves were removed from both plants due to yellowing. This however was kept to a minimum, as very few leaves showed any unhealthy signs.
Pictures again today have been taken with a better camera.
Few pistils on Jane have turned red/brown, more on Mary, around 20-30% i'd guess.

Both plants were fed 400ml of nutes mixed with 300ml of water from ontop, and 100ml of nutes followed by 250ml of water from the bottom. I’ve read a lot about people saying you shouldn’t feed the plants from the bottom however due to the fans I have positioned under the pots (more so on Mary now), air is blown onto the soil through the little drainage holes on each of the pots, drying up the soil quicker than if there was no air circulation beneath the pots.
Few more leaves showing yellowing, however I’ve decided to try and leave them on now and let them fall off naturally, as from my understanding yellowing late in flowering is normal, so I want the plants to use up anything useful in the leaves before they die completely and drop off. Most the foliage, especially on Mary, is still a very healthy darkish green colour.
The final swell hasn’t started yet but I expect it to towards the end of the week.
Temps same as previous days.

Temperatures have been consistent between 24-26C.
More and more pistils on Mary are turning brown, whilst on Jane progress is a bit slower. However Jane has definitely started to get frostier this week.
The plants, especially Jane, are starting to become very top heavy. Therefore it is becoming harder and harder to take them out the cupboard for watering. This is more so the case with Jane with her height and huge main cola. From now on I’ll either try watering the plants in the cupboard, or moving them as little as possible out the cupboard to water.

Few more leaves showing yellowing, however I’ve left them on now. Only the oldest fan leaves are yellowing, younger leaves are still looking in perfect health.
From what I can tell new leaves are still sprouting in and around the bud sites, maybe this is gearing them up for the final swell.
Temperatures the same as previous days.
Some more pistils are starting to turn brown on Jane’s lower buds, main cola still comprises of white pistils. Mary’s main cola however is starting to produce red pistils all over.

Jane’s main cola is starting to look huge, I can only guess she’s starting to go through her final swell. Hopefully this should last a good week or 2 and she should pack on some serious weight.
After attempting to water the plants inside the cupboard i realised it wasn’t really feasible, due to my routine of watering from underneath the pots. Therefore I now take each plant out of the cupboard but instead of carrying them over to my desk I water them just outside the cupboard before sticking them back in. Minimal movement.
Mary’s main cola is looking delicious, and feels rock hard. Jane’s still has some catching up to do, but it seems her main cola is growing more in size instead of becoming denser.

Now a days I pretty much make a fresh nutrient mix every other feeding. I realise this isn’t necessary, however I’m guessing fresh nutrients are always better, and as I don’t have a water heater, I can manage the temperature of a fresh mix much more easily than of an old mix. Something I’ll definitely invest in for next time Is a water heater and water pump to ensure the nutes are always mixed in well with the water and not forming a “skin” ontop.
Pictures of big and small buds have been taken today. The smaller buds are a lot more developed than the bigger main cola’s and buds near the tops of the plants.
To show the size of the main cola’s more clearly I’ve held up a lynx deodorant can next to them. Jane’s main cola is nearly the size of my forearm in places.
Temperatures the same as previous days.
More pistils are turning brown on both plants.
