You could get the whole kit with a 400w lumatek for $300 but I agree - if you are on a budget you're better off with the cheap ballast.
Did you follow the link? This is a 600w dimmable digital ballast, 2 bulbs (MH and HPS), timer, light hangers, and an aircooled hood. $200 with free delivery, that's one hell of a deal IMO - much much better of a deal than that HTG package

Problem is I don't have a grow room big enough for that right now so I will try a grow in my new CFL box and build sumpin for a 600 watt unit. Might as well buy it now and work around everything else. I have the space in the house so I figure go big.
I could get away with a smaller wattage light for my 4X2X2 ft box but them I really limited in the future. So CFL's for now and build to accomodate a 600W.
My Master Kush seeds all popped in 24 hours and they sure looked pretty weak going in to germ. Was sure they were either cracked or immature. May put them in soil tommorow. Should I wait until they are free of the Cotyledons or just put them in....?
Maybe I should get a 1000watt light. mmmmmmm.
PS .. Do I need an inline fan to air cool this mess. They seem to be a lot of buckski's too!!
